These groups range from supportive and informational to kinky and fetishized. We spoke with "Jake", a gainer based in Edmonton, Canada that has been writing about his weight gain journey on his anonymous blog. For the last six years, Jake has struggled to pack on the pounds - a special challenge, given he is gluten intolerant. Fast-food and carb-heavy binges are impossible, so Jake has taught himself how to consume gluten-free food steadily and in bulk. Fat Teens in Love is all about the emotional effect that being overweight has on increasing numbers of young people today. These teens are desperate to lose weight but, like most young people, it's not just their health they're concerned about. Executive producer Emma Morgan says "They are fed up of feeling excluded from normal teenage life and being left standing at the side of the school disco, these are teenagers looking for a chance of a normal adolescence." "What the film reveals is that Summer Camp works - in an environment where they are the same as everyone else, these overweight teens suddenly start to feel the confidence to behave like 'normal' teenagers." The cameras follow the group doing everything from outward bounds activities and overnight camping trips to how to take control of their diet. All the teenagers also participate in counselling sessions aimed at helping them address the root causes of their over-eating and improving their self-confidence. And best of all, they are -- for the time being at least -- among a peer group who are not ridiculing them. When fat is the norm, there's a level playing field for behaving like every other teenager.

And the reason I'm doing this is because I get a lot of fat loss questions, muscle build questions in ahh comments, youtube comments. Usually I go in there and comment I try to respond the best that I can. Uhmm as many people as I can but a lot of times I realize that if one person has a question another person probably has the same question and it's more likely that a lot of people have that same question. So, what I wanna do is answer these questions on video ahh so that I can share that knowledge with everybody. ahh that's watching instead of instead of that single person that's asking a question. Although I really do appreciate, and I really want that person to succeed. I want everybody to succeed. So, I'm gonna start with the first question that I got ahh recently, and the first question is from k3ng, thank you for that. Uhmm, it says that, DJ I need help, my metabolism has slow down and got to use to maintenance at around 1800. I'm 5'7", 160% or a 160 pounds and 18% body fat. Will eating more speed up my metabolism also bulk me up? I'm on a 1600 calorie diet and ahh I was barely using. Even with strength training and cardio. So, he's really struggling because he's you know, he's heard it, you've heard it before you know calories in, calories out if you wanna lose weight, eat less, getting deficit you wanna gain weight, eat more and for some reason, it's just not working, you know, you're doing what you think is supposed to do. It's just not losing any weight. Uhmm, so first of all, you gonna figure out what is your goal, fat lost or is it muscle gain. Can't seem like you know 18% 160 pounds, 5'7", that's an okay, that's an average, ahh you know good, good safe ahh weight to be at. Uhmm and you think that your metabolism has slow down. Crash test dummies get bigger to reflect Americans getting fatter

As Americans keep getting fatter, so, too, are crash test dummies. The robotic-like devices are swelling from an average 167-pound dummy to a staggering 270-pound fake man. “Studies show that obese drivers are 78% more likely to die in a car crash,” said Chris O’Connor, the head of Humanetics , the sole manufacturer of U.S. dummies, WRTV reported. The new models will have a body mass index of 35, which is considered morbidly obese. Current seat belts and air bags aren’t designed for overweight people, O’Connor said. “An obese person has more mass around (the) midsection and a larger rear which pushes them out of position” for seat belts, he explained. Because 70% of Americans are obese or overweight, safety devices must be redesigned, he said. “We need to find a way to make cars safer for everyone, regardless of size, he said. The fatter dummies will go trial by the end of the year and should be available next year.

Workout Plan to GAIN WEIGHT for Women

Please READ this box for more info. Best exercises to GAIN WEIGHT for skinny women. This workout plan is based on full body Compound Exercises. Compound exercises are those that involve more than one joint and muscle group. They are more efficient and effective for muscle growth. Method: 10 exercises, 4 sets per exercises, 45 -- 60 seconds of rest in between sets. Set 1 - Choose weight that will be manageable for 12 reps. Set 2 - Increase the weight slightly to which you can only accomplish 10 reps. Set 3 - Increase the weight even more to which you can only accomplish 8 reps. Set 4 - For the final set, lift even heavier weight to reach failure at 6 reps. Workout Schedule: Only 3 - 4 times weekly on alternate days. *It is important to know that it is NOT in the gym you achieve growth, it is when you rest and recover. Hence, a full workout day should be followed by a rest day to assure full recovery and growth. Workout Duration: No more than 60 minutes per session. Progression: Perform these exercises for 4 - 6 weeks. As you progress, lift even heavier weights and increase to 5 or 6 sets per exercise. Does Intermittent Fasting KILL MUSCLE? (Diet Confusion)

Stop being confused by how to eat to lose fat and build muscle http://athleanx.com/x/easiest-meal-plan Intermittent fasting is certainly one of the most talked about methods of eating to lose fat. It has gained it's popularity mostly by those who have had some success with it...in the short term! The issue with intermittent fasting and even some of the other diet methods talked about in this video is that they are questionable long term solutions at best. In fact, a recent study was published that questioned whether intermittent fasting actually killed muscle or led to accelerated muscle catabolism. Given the nature of the diet, it's easy to see where this research has come from. Going long periods without eating (up to 18 hours) flies in the face of sound long term nutrition principles and respect for one's metabolism. I'm not even talking about metabolism in reference to metabolic rate, but rather just the brain's preference for consistent supply of nutrient rich (glucose rich) blood, preferentially in the form of food rather than through secondary compensatory means that the body has of producing glucose in times of need. Other diet techniques and protocols similar to intermittent fasting in their "fad" nature include fat elimination diets, the Atkins diet, and juice diets. While all may in fact deliver short term fat loss results, most will never be sustainable for the long haul. They will wind up leaving you fat again and looking for the next short term solution. In order to burn fat and build muscle most consistently, you need to follow a healthy and balanced diet consisting of fibrous carbohydrates, starchy non-refined carbs, high quality protein, and healthy fats. No macro or micronutrient should ever be entirely excluded from your diet if you want a long term solution. Athletes certainly don't screw around with gimmick diets and fad nutrient manipulation knowing how important sound nutrition is to their performance. Neither should you. I know because I struggled with this myself. Learning how to gain weight fast if you're skinny is made complicated because the truth is, you're getting bad advice. Most will tell you that in order to get big you have to eat big. This is just too damn simplified to have any real merit. As I show you in this video, in order to build muscle if you are skinny you need to FIRST focus on the quality of the food you eat before you even think about the quantity. Eating a lot of bad food will do nothing to help you build muscle size since the building blocks are founded on garbage. Eating less of healthier foods will do far more to help you get bigger, even if that means taking in far fewer calories than you do now. As a self admitted junk food eater growing up, I can tell you that I never was really able to add any muscle eating the food I was eating. It wasn't until I decided to clean up my nutrition and start following more of a bodybuilding diet or eating plan that I started to see my gains skyrocket. The problem was, the bodybuilding meal plan was downright bland! I learned more about nutrition and realized that eating well didn't have to be painful. Years later I would create the X Factor Meal Plan (that is included in the ATHLEAN-X Training System at http://athleanx.com ). This same plan not only helped me to build muscle as a skinny guy but it also ironically helped guys that were overweight to get ripped! How does that work? It happens because when you start having a respect for your nutrition and you provide your body with the nutrients that it needs to build lean muscle, you change the way your body responds to your training. If you are looking to add muscle fast, you'd simply eat more of the right foods to establish a caloric surplus while making sure the food quality was high. A bit of direct abdominal training is fine, but the only way to reliably flatten those lower abs is by continuing to stick to your nutrition plan, keep up with your weight training workouts and implement your cardio throughout the week.
