A Trip To The Market with RV Vegan | Jovanka Ciares
Today, Raul and I went to a produce market to get fruit and veggies at dirty cheap prices.... No, not a farmer’s market. This is an outdoor produce market: the market in LA where restaurants and food markets get their produce. These types of markets exist on every major city (even mid-size cities) and it is a great place to discover amazing fruit and vegetables that you may not know about (or re-discover oldies but goodies). Most of these markets sell in bulk and at less than wholesale prices: we got a box of 16 mangoes for $5 or about $.31 cents per mango. That’s 3-5 times cheaper than in a regular market. I encourage you to find them in your home town and visit your local produce market. Get a couple of friends, pool your cash together and buy enzyme-filled, super yummy foods for a fraction! http://jovankaciares.com * GET RID OF YOUR BELLY TROUBLES FOR GOOD: http://sexybodyreset.com * SUBSCRIBE FOR NEW VIDEOS: http://bit.ly/JovaSubscribe ------- GET MORE KEWL STUFF BELOW ------- ✔ CHECK OUT: http://jovankaciares.com ✔ FOLLOW: http://twitter.com/JovankaCiares ✔ LIKE: http://facebook.com/JovankaCiares ✔ SUBSCRIBE: http://sexybodyreset.com WARNING: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THESE VIDEOS ARE FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND AS OPINIONS ONLY. A Trip To The Market: The Story of the Kayayo
During the Summer of 2011, Community Wings took six students to Ghana for a volunteer adventure trip. Two of these students and their media teacher (and Community Wings member) shot this documentary film about the troubling social issue of the Kayayo. The Kayayo are any teenage kids from the rural northern regions of Ghana who travel to the larger southern cities to work as laborers and/or porters in the busy markets. They work to make money for school, they work for new lives, and they work to survive; Regrettably, they seldom achieve the goals they left their homes for. This film shares the stories of two Kayayo teens and the experience of the two teen filmmakers.

STOP FILMING US! | Makola Market, Accra
Hi guys, welcome back! My trip is almost coming to an end so I had to make sure I took a trip to the market. I used to go with my mom as a kid and I wanted to see how things were now, also because I wanted to buy things for a much cheaper price lol. Well it was quite a long and tiring "excursion". Earlier that morning, Okeke surprised Nadia and I with some really good waakye and gizzards...how sweet. We ended our day with fresh kelewele from Labone and hung out around Oxford St for the night. Thanks again for watching and stay tuned for my last Ghana vlog (a few tears were shed) :-) As always, Don't forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe to keep up with us! xoxo Instagram: @missababio and @_xoamira Have you seen our first video? Borough Market in London - What You Should Eat | London Street Food Tour!
Borough Market is one of the most famous and renowned fresh markets in London. Get all information here: http://migrationology.com/2014/05/borough-market-london/ There are many famous things to do in London, but if you're a food lover like I am, one of the best choices you can make it to take a trip to the historical Borough Market. The market is one of the most well-known in all of London. The history goes way back, and it was formerly a place where people came and gathered to trade and sell their fresh produce. For many years it was very informal and without structure. But the official Borough Market was established in 1885, the place that we can visit today. We were only in London for a couple of days, attending the Chowzter.com food awards (http://chowzter.com/), and one thing I knew we needed to do, was visit Borough Market with an empty stomach. It was Friday morning at about 10 AM when we decided to go - and I think it was just about a perfect time - because many of the vendors were just opening up, and the market wasn't as packed as it could be. The best things to do as soon as you arrive to Borough Market is to take a leisurely stroll around and see what is available for you to eat - there are too many things to eat in one visit, so it's important that you choose wisely, and decide what you want to eat. Some of the most famous things include the salt beef sandwich, the grilled cheese sandwich, the duck confit sandwich, chorizo, and many other delicious things. But along with cooked food, there's also a range of cured meats, and wonderful cheeses. I also really enjoyed the fresh produce, which included a nice variety of mushrooms and beautiful heirloom tomatoes. But anyway let's get back to the food, and I'm talking about the food ready to be eaten. As soon as I arrived I saw a stack of cheese and olive bread-sticks which were piled high like a pyramid. That was my first treat. The long bread-stick was crusty and embedded with salty cheese and delicious olives. While walking around, in the back part Borough Market, we decided to try a Portuguese egg tart. It was good but I thought it could've been better if it was a little warmer. Next up we tried a sausage on a stick from a place called Boston Sausage. I added a bunch of English mustard to it, and I think that's what made it so good. If you want to drink coffee, when you visit London's Borough Market you cannot miss the famous Monmouth coffee shop. It can be quite busy and hard to find a seat, so we decided just to get takeaway coffee, as I really needed something to wake me up and keep me energized to eat more. My little shot of macchiato was fantastic. Back to the food, we went to a place called Brindisa and ordered up one of their famous chorizo sandwiches. The chorizo was very tasty, and had a nice spicy flavor to it, but I thought the bread was way too big for the amount of meat. If I ordered it again, I would for sure get the double chorizo. Finally for my last sandwich at Borough Market, I went with the famous duck confit sandwich. You'll see the incredible pan of duck confit when you visit the market, and if you're like me, it should entice you to eat it immediately. When you order, the vendor fills up a bunch of duck into a ciabatta roll. The duck was incredibly tender, juicy, and oily, and it was amazingly tasty. That just about wrapped up everything I ate at Borough Market in London. There were still many more things I wanted to try, but like I said, it would be a near impossible feat to eat everything in one visit to the market. If you want to eat and you're in London, this is one of the best places to visit. Visit Borough Market information: Open for lunch on Monday -- Tuesday from 11 am -- 5 pm Full market is open on Wednesday -- Thursday from 11 am -- 5 pm, Friday from 10 am -- 6 pm, and Saturday from 8 am -- 5 pm (closed on Sunday) Prices: It would not be hard to spend 20 GBP per person eating here Website: http://boroughmarket.org.uk/ How to get to there: I think the easiest way is to take the London underground tube to London Bridge Station and then just follow the exit signs that will lead directly to Borough Market. Cambodian Food - LIVE BLUE CRAB (Boiled Right Out of The Ocean) in Kep, Cambodia!
In Cambodia, this is where your crab dreams will come to life! Subscribe for more videos► http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts for sale here► https://migrationology.com/store/ Located on the sleepy coast of Kep, Cambodia, you’ll find one of the greatest crab markets in the world. The blue swimmer crabs are kept in ocean baskets, and when you got to buy them, they will actually fetch a basket right out for the ocean for you, and you can rummage through the live crabs and choose whichever ones you please. This is one of the most amazing markets I’ve ever been to! Cambodia Crab Trip - Phnom Penh → Kep, Cambodia, 146 km., 3 hours Kep Crab Market - One of the best reasons to travel to Kep, Cambodia is to eat seafood, and they have an abundance of fresh seafood. Although I didn’t have time to stay the night in Kep, we decided to just take a day food trip to eat crab. When you buy crab at the market, bargaining is expected, and the prices can fluctuate vastly. So keep this in mind when you’re buying your crab. On this day I paid 2 kg. crabs - $14 USD. One of the best things about buying crab here is that you can then turn around and cook your crabs right there at the market. Price to cook crabs - $1 USD. It’s an amazing experience of fresh crabs, boiled, and cooked right in the market. They also have lots of other seafood. We bought 3 pretty decently sized fish, some rice, and a few bottles of sauce to complete our meal. 3 big fish, rice, sauce - $13 USD You can then go to sit down at a drink vendor, and if you buy drinks, you can sit and eat your Cambodian seafood feast. Total price for drinks - 18,000 KHR ($4.34) *we had a lot of drinks, but I lost count. If the seafood and crab at Kep crab market isn’t enough, they have an abundance of durian and fruit at the market as well (it also happened to be durian season). 2 durians, 2 kg. mangosteen - $10 USD. Kampot, located next to Kep, is famous throughout Cambodia for durian, and it was an amazing durian. Best pepper in the world! Next, we drove over to Sothy’s Pepper Farm, that’s famous for growing Kampot pepper, what is considered the best pepper in the world. We tasted and learned a lot about pepper and it was a lot of fun. Pepper tour is free, but you can buy pepper Roundtrip taxi price for full day - $130 USD -- Music in this video: Cause I Am Coming Home https://goo.gl/HwVjdo MY CAMERA GEAR: Main camera: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Main lens: http://amzn.to/2e5Lum6 2nd camera: http://amzn.to/2mczuDx 2nd lens: http://amzn.to/2mcEGau Microphone: http://amzn.to/2dEr9Z9 Gorillapod: http://amzn.to/2epFsQx *These are Amazon affiliate links I would love to connect with you! Borough Market 2017 Tour!
Borough Market 2017 Tour! London is a foodie's paradise, home to more than 100 vendors, markets and restaurants. Because of that, it's a huge tourist destination and something every foodie should visit during a trip to London. The market dates back to the year 1014! Borough Market hours run 10-5 Mondays-Thursdays, 10-6 Fridays and 8-5 on Saturdays. The best days to visit are Wednesday-Saturday, when all of the vendors are there. Borough Market food ranges from fresh produce and meats, to delicious stalls cooking up everything from falafels and Jack the Ripper burgers to Scotch Eggs and their famous Borough Market grilled cheese. You can pick up a Borough Market map online at http://boroughmarket.org.uk/map Some of my favorite Borough Market restaurants are Fish (voted best Fish & Chips in London for 2017) and Tapas Brindisa, a great little Spanish restaurant just across the street from the London Bridge Underground. It would take you days to try everything, but some of the best food stalls in Borough Market - in my opinion - are Scotchtails for unique Scotch eggs, Khanom Krok for authentic Thai street food, Mountain’s Boston Sausage for sausage rolls and sandwiches made with Lincolnshire sausage, Nana Fanny’s for salt beef beigels and falafel wraps, Pieminister for hot British savory pies, and Roast Hog for Tuscan spit roast hog. There are also several vegan and vegetarian options as well! To get to Borough Market in London, take the Tube to the London Bridge station. Borough Market is located right across the street. Cheers! EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL | Beautiful Morning Market in Ubud
A trip to the beautiful morning market in Ubud Bali Subscribe to our channel: https://goo.gl/2OsFKV Check out yesterday's vlog: https://youtu.be/i4F8OvQZcu4 The Ubud morning Market in Bali is one of the most exhilarating places you can visit during your stay. This is where the locals come to sell their goods from fresh fruits and veggies to wild tobacco and colorful flower petals. The market is free to enter, and is welcome to whom ever is willing to wake up early! At the Ubud morning market, the fruit vendors sell lots of exotic Southeast Asian fruits such as: mangosteen, bananas, mango, rambutan, lychee, watermelon, soursop, and durian. Avocados are currently in season as well as passionfruit. You can come to this market and buy fruit for really cheap! The cool thing about this market is that there are local prices. You can get food for half the price as you would at the grocery store. There are a ton of deals to be had here, as prices are normally negotiable. One of the most popular items to cook with is shallots and garlic which they sell out of a truck parked inside the market. This is an integral ingredient used in the dish called Babi Guling in which they stuff and marinate the pig with all these different spices. You should definitely try out this Balinese dish if you are in Ubud (they are famous for it!) I have another video I posted about Ibu Oka (which is the restaurant to go to if you want to eat roasted pig). Inside the Ubud morning market in Bali there are various vendors selling breakfast. If you are at the market and haven’t eaten yet, you can buy some nasi campur. They wrap it up in a banana leaf and you can just take it to go. This is a combination of rice, roasted pig, and chili sauce. It normally only costs $1-2 per meal and is very filling. The Ubud morning market is totally different than what you would typically see in the afternoon, in the same location. The market is for locals selling produce between the early morning hours of 5am- 7:30am. Around 8am is when the market begins to transition into a souvenir market for tourists (and you probably wouldn’t recognize it… it’s that different looking!) The souvenir market (which I made a video about) is a great place to go to if you are in the mood to shop for clothing or housewares. The Ubud morning market is located in the center of town. It is best to come here early in the morning around 6am - 7am. This is when the market is in full swing and you can get a good idea of what local life is like in Bali. I suggest trying out some of the street food for sale (such as coconut desserts) because they are really delicious and cheap. One thing you’ll notice at the Ubud Morning market is that there are a lot of vendors selling supplies to make offerings. In Bali, the local people are constantly making offerings towards the gods. These supplies include: pandan leaves, sticks of incense, palm leaves, banana leaves, and fresh flower petals which come in just about every color! In summary, this market is a great place to visit if you are looking to do some exploring around Ubud. It’s also a wonderful place to take photos as there is so much going on all at once. There is also a lot of different local food to try out (so come hungry!) Make sure to make a pitstop at this awesome market and experience Ubud in the dawn light, you won't regret it. Day Trip To Ghent, Belgium | Travel Vlog | World Culture Network
Welcome to our Ghent, Belgium vlog. This video is not as much a Ghent travel guide, but more of a Ghent, Belgium travel experience with food, attractions, and tourism that can be explored in 1 day in Ghent. In this episode of #TheDayTripShow, we take a day trip from Brussels to Ghent, a port city in northwest Belgium. We take a tram to the Ghent Tourist Board office and get off the tram before the Koren Market to walk up the remaining distance. After collecting a Gent City Cards, we head to the Gravensteen to explore this medieval monument. After a detailed tour, we continue our Ghent Day Trip looking for food. Ghent is shut on Mondays, so we settled for Mc Donald’s. After lunch, we went for a free water tram guided tour to get the gorgeous view of the Graslei in Ghent also known as mini-London. We also visited St. Bavo’s Cathedral on our Ghent Day Trip. By the end of the day, the Market Square was magically lit up as we rushed for local Belgian Waffles, Belgian Hot Chocolate, and some traditional sugar sweets. We hadn’t explored it all, but our Ghent day trip from Brussels was truly eventful. We highly recommend day trips from Brussels to both Ghent and Bruges in Belgium. #TuneInToWCN to watch The Day Trip Show, a show in which we take the day trip from popular cities to smaller towns, cities, and countries and explore them within the day! Rachael's Trip To The Market In Phnom Penh Cambodia
Rachael's Trip To The Market In Phnom Penh Cambodia There are markets like these all over Cambodia. Phnom Penh has many of them and as you can see, they are bursting with fresh fruit and vegetables. Places like these make it really easy to Go Vegan almost anywhere in the world. We buy nuts, pulses, rice, fruit, vegetables, vegan snacks, vegan donuts, coconut rice balls, fresh fruit juice, and even Tofu from markets like this one. Many people tell us that it is difficult to be travel and be Vegan but it just isn't true.Of course, you are not going to find vegan burgers or pizza in places like this, but just eat everything that is available and explore the local products. In Cambodia, the locals eat food that is easily veganised. It may not be as varied as a diet that we might be used to back in our own country, but travelling is all about exploring different food, people, and culture. If we have to eat similar meals for a few months then so what? The people here do that their entire lives. You can ask street food vendors to make food for you without the meat, fish, fish sauce or stock and we often eat delicious rice, noodle, and fried vegetable dishes that can cost less than $1 per person. It's all about having the right mindset and a sense of adventure. If you have both of these things then it’s really easy to travel as a vegan and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Study Abroad in Holland #2 (The Market)
This is a clip of my Friday afternoon trip to the market. As a side note: even though I told myself to spit my gum out before doing the clip, I forgot to do so. So, no that's not my tooth falling out, but rather my chewing gum. I suppose this Vlogging (is that even the right word??) is a learning process! Thanks for watching.
