Top 5 Best Bicycle Brands, Best Bicycle Brands at a Glance, best bicycle for cycling https://youtu.be/s2sb0WmWP30 best mountain bike, best road bike - Everyone has a preferred type of bicycle. It depends on what type of biking you do. Top5 list shows best bicycle brands in the world at a glance in this video. Everyone wants to ride bicycle which is the most used vehicle in the whole world. What are the top 5 best bicycle brands in the world that are most famous and most liked by bikers in the world. You can buy it for mountain riding. most brand name bicycles tend to either use Shimano or SRAM component groups with equivalent pricing structures. Many are built in China and Taiwan, some in Europe and the US. The way we see it is that the bike frame is the main difference between brands, and that difference is more of personal preference and fit. Bicycles are one of the best modes of transport for the fitness conscious as well as those who want to save on fuel expenses. This is the reason why they are so popular in a country like India, where a large chunk of population cannot afford the vehicles driven by dearly priced petrol and diesel. And there are many others who go for high priced premium models of lifestyle bikes as a part of their exercise equipment. The Indian market has a large number of old and reputed bicycle producers, who manufacture a huge range for men, women and children. One benefit of the big brands is that many have lifetime warranties on the frames as long as they have not been in a crash. Another benefit of buying a brand name like Trek is the resale value compared to a no-name brand. Another benefit of brand name bicycles isn't necessarily the bike itself but the culture and relationship the bike dealers can form with the consumer to get them more engaged and interested in riding be it sharing general tips, local trail information, local group rides, events and races. But this of course depends on the local bike shop and is not necessary to be attributed to the bike manufacturers themselves, in my opinion. Brand names also allows riders to keep track of which they like and which they dislike, although even brands change over time as technology evolves and ownership changes. Actually, I own one major brand name bicycle, my Diamondback, which doesn't quite have the same reputation as many of the other brands but it's my bike so I don't care. Top5 list presents the list of Top 5 Best Bicycle Brands. 1. Giant Bicycle 2. GT Bicycle 3. Marin Bicycle 4. Santa Cruz Bicycle 5. Why Should You Buy a Bike From a Boutique Brand? (Are They Better?)

06:40
These days, you have what seems like endless bikes available to spend your hard-earned cash on. You can go with a “Big Box” bike brand such as Specialized, Trek, Giant, Cannondale etc. And if you are in the market for a bike less than $4k, then most likely your best bet is to go with a big name brand as they do pack a ton of value under the $4k price range. On the other hand, if you are looking for something a bit higher end, the smaller brands such as Yeti, Transition, Evil, Ibis, Pivot, YT, Commencal, NS, Open Cycles... should be your go to. In this video I lay out my thinking behind this for those of you who might be in the market for one hell of a fancy expensive bike. Trail Bike of the Year 2018 | Overall Winners | Mountain Bike Rider

04:49
Year after year, the relentless march of progress brings the full-suspension trail bike inching ever closer to perfection. | Click here to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/MBRmagazine?sub_confirmation=1 And while it’s easy to bemoan the lack of standardization and inherited obsolescence that goes hand in hand with progress, it’s this constant evolution that makes every generation of trail bike that bit more capable than the last. This year is no exception. Take the Canyon Spectral CF 8.0 for example. Bar a slightly longer reach and a smidge lower BB height, its vital stats are virtually identical to the old Spectral. But these subtle improvements to the geometry and fit, combined with a revised suspension layout and fatter 2.6in tyres, make it a completely different proposition in the dirt. It’s fast, it’s confidence inspiring, and best of all, it’s a hell of a lot of fun. And that’s before we even mention the build kit. Factor in its direct to consumer business model, and only the Commençal Meta TR comes close to matching the Canyon’s value for money. Taken as a package, there’s no disputing the Spectral’s pedigree, and it’s easily deserving of that coveted ten out of ten rating. The 29er category was the most hotly contested this year. Proof, if it were needed, that 29er trail bikes haven’t lost any of their momentum. And, despite strong opposition from Whyte, YT and Trek, it was a wild-card entry from Vitus that won the day. A result made all the more impressive considering it’s the cheapest bike in the test by quite some margin. Once again, it was the details that really made all the difference. Little things like the wide trail up front to improve cornering confidence, and thicker-casing rear tyre to help avoid punctures. The RockShox Lyrik fork also gave the Escarpe 29 VRX a distinct advantage over its rivals with the excellent Charger RCT3 damper absorbing everything we could throw at it. The Escarpe offers room for improvement, though. The seat tube needs to be made shorter to better accommodate a 150mm dropper, and the bottom bracket could do with being a bit lower. Ironically these are both criticisms that were levied at last year’s winner, the YT Jeffsy. Seeing as both of these brands are young and dynamic, we suspect that neither will take our feedback lying down. For now though, Vitus has the upper hand. Winning Trail Bike of the Year in the Plus category two years on the trot, it’s fair to say that Scott is on a roll. With the most progressive sizing and geometry in class, the new Genius takes the winning formula first developed on the short-travel Spark and applies it to a 150mm platform. Scott is so far ahead of the competition, no other bike even comes close to challenging its supremecy. However, when you’re paying upwards of four thousand pounds for a bike, you can afford to be fussy, and much as we love having the two travel settings on the rear of the Genius 720, we don’t want it hooked up to the fork and we see no need for the full lockout. That’s the only fly in the ointment, but it was enough to stop the Genius 720 getting a perfect 10. So those are the headlines, but if you want the full scoop, be sure to watch our full reviews on all three winning bikes. These videos will be dropping next week, so stay tuned. Electrically powered bicycles allow you to do just that and their top speeds can reach 60 miles or 100 kilometers per hour. That is incredibly fast and probably not safe, but we are not here to judge whether a thrill ride is worth compromising one’s safety. Why get a really good kids mountain bike?

03:59
Previous video: https://youtu.be/TGK0qVbP830 El Oso Niño Kids Fat Bike: http://amzn.to/28PBGEy Line 24 Kids Hardtail: http://amzn.to/1Y3q0dU This is Domingo, a pretty average sized adult, and here’s me riding a 24” kids mountain bike. We’ll get back to that in a minute, but first let’s talk about kids bikes in general. I know that pricey kids bikes are a tough sell for most parents. Kids grow really fast, and they change their interests from day to day. For $150 bucks, you can get them something that pedals around until they grow out of it. From what I can see, this is what most kids end up with. Given the reasons I mentioned, it’s hard to blame any parent for this, especially when you consider the other costs that come along with kids. Some parents do see the value in spending a little more though. A nice kids bike will have better parts and a smoother ride, but I think that’s obvious to most people. “Good parts” isn’t a good enough selling point for most parents, but I think the weight of the bike should be. At 6 years old, I weighed about 45 pounds, but the weight of this cheap 20” kids bike is 36 pounds. Now let’s say you weigh 160. How would you fare on a 130 pound bike? How well could you stop it, or maneuver it? That’s about what this bike would feel like to a 6 year old. Even if they have the strength to pedal and climb hills with it, let’s also consider the brakes and shifters. You hear that? That’s a little kid shifting gears. Kids learn real quick, but their hands aren’t very strong. A well designed kids bike will not only be to scale with their weight, but also use parts that are refined enough for little hands. These kids were all able to hold a decent pace on Saturday, partially because they’re all bad asses, but also because they have decent bikes. So with those points made, let’s have some fun. We have here, two nice kids bikes that I’ll be giving away later this afternoon. Before that, my sister and I are going to take them out on some easy trails to see how they ride. I assembled both of these earlier this week, knowing that we’d be doing this, so I made sure they were both tuned up from top to bottom. The plan was to go easy on these bikes, but I was having a little too much fun on what felt like a 24” dirt jumper. Lucky for this bike, there were no jumps around. I decided to take a chance and see if I could bunny hop the hardtail on to this picnic table. The lower bench was no problem but the top part looked pretty scary. Keep in mind that this also means dropping off the other side—all 155 pounds of me. Both bikes left the trailhead in perfect working order, ready for more abuse from the kids. And abuse them they did… From hard shifting, to crashes, to direct impacts on the chainrings, these bikes held up to exactly the kind of abuse you could expect from kids. If you want see more about this event or these bikes, check the description for a link to my previous video. So nobody expects you to get a $3000 carbon race bike for your kid, but getting a better bike with kid friendly components will ensure that they get a fun and enjoyable introduction to mountain biking. At the very least, do it for yourself. After all, the faster they go the more fun it’ll be for you to follow them.

Hybrid Bike Buyer's Guide | Cycling Weekly

04:17
Subscribe to Cycling Weekly here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CyclingWeekly1?sub_confirmation=1 Hybrid Bike Buyer's Guide | Cycling Weekly A hybrid bike is an excellent option if you’re mainly using your bike for commuting to and from work, maybe with the odd bit of recreational riding at the weekend. Hybrid bikes are ideal for riders just getting in to cycling: the best hybrid bikes will be good enough to cope with all sorts of terrain without fuss, hopefully helping you to enjoy your cycling and get more involved in this great sport. But what should you be looking for to make sure you get the best hybrid bike for your money? What is a hybrid bike? The clue’s in the name really. A hybrid bike is a hybrid of a standard road bike and a mountain bike, taking the best bits of both types of bike to create a machine that is comfortable over all terrains and surfaces. Hybrid bikes do vary – some take more influence from the road genre whilst others sit closer to the mountain bike end. Where a bike sits on that scale will influence how well it copes with uneven off-road terrain or how speedy it will be on the tarmac. The frame of a hybrid bike will generally have a fairly relaxed geometry. This means a short top tube and tall head tube to give a relaxed and upright riding position that should be nice and comfortable, not placing any strain on your neck and shoulders. Many hybrid bikes also feature a top tube that is sloped downwards from the front of the bike towards the back, which should make it a little bit easier to get on and off whatever you are wearing. Another feature common to all of the best hybrid bikes is that they come with flat handlebars rather than the dropped bars found on normal road bikes. This will again mean a more upright riding position, and means that the bikes will normally use mountain bike-style shifting and braking, with the levers also being easier to reach for less experienced riders. Compared to road bikes, the best hybrid bikes will come with wider tyres. The width will vary, but it will generally be something between 28mm and 42mm. Not only will this help to improve comfort, ironing out any rough surfaces, but will also add to the level of grip when the roads are wet. Are there different types of hybrid bike? The best hybrid bike for someone else might not be the best hybrid bike for you. Depending on what sort of riding you’re going to be doing, it is worth considering whether you’d be better suited buying a hybrid bike that is more similar to a road bike, or one that is more similar to a mountain bike. If you’re doing most of your riding on roads and cycles paths, then the best option is to go for a more road-orientated hybrid bike. Quite often, these bikes will feature the same frame and fork as found on the manufacturer’s sportive road bike, but with a flat bar handlebar for a more upright position. The tyres will also be slick, and not super wide, allowing you to ride fast and keep up with traffic. $199 Walmart Schwinn Boundary 29er - A cheap mountain bike that works?

04:36
29" Mens Schwinn Boundary, Dark Green and Black is a $199 mountain bike from Walmart which, at least for me and a friend, was worth the money and held up on the trail. Is this a hidden gem in the Walmart bike lineup? I think so! The bicycle features a Schwinn branded front suspension fork, Shimano EZ Fire trigger shifters, front and rear 160mm disc brakes, full aluminum frame, Shimano crank arms, Shimano Tourney rear derailleur, flat nylon pedals, and 29 x 2.25" mountain bike tires. Make no mistake, this isn't a premium bicycle, but it is a low cost / cheap bike available at Walmart that is capable of handling light-moderate trail duty for the average rider. Would this work for hardcore mountain bike adventures, no....but neither would many lower priced premium mountain bikes. Feel free to post your opinions. If you have one of these bikes i'd like to know your experience. Many videos to come on this bike, plus the Mongoose XR-Pro is coming soon!

Best Dirt Bike For Beginners | What should you buy?

Guys (and gals) are asking me what dirt bike to buy for their first dirt bike. It is a very hard question to answer when I don’t know much about their personality, body type, terrain they will ride on, or their backgrounds. Having said that, I do have some general suggestions for people and I will cover that in this video. Here is the cliff notes version. First off, don’t buy a 450cc 4 stroke motocross dirt bike! If you get nothing other than that from this video, we are doing well. For most adult men looking to get into dirt biking, I would suggest either a 250 4 stroke, or a 125 2 stroke. The reason for these models is they don’t have too much power. Most people make the mistake of buying a bike that has too much power and it gets them into trouble. The bigger motors also make the bikes feel heavy, and tend to ride you more than you ride the bike! Some good bikes to look for are: More trail oriented: Honda CRF250X (4 stroke) Yamaha WR250 (4 stroke) More race oriented: Yamaha YZ125 (2 stroke) KTM 150 or 200 XC-W (2 stroke) KTM 250 XC-F (4 stroke) Special thanks to my $10/month patrons on https://www.patreon.com/dirtbikechannel Blair Butler, Brian Falcon, Chris Abel, David Adams, David Keyes, Dion Jaramillo, Flo Motorsports, Garrett Wastlund, Ken Paulino, Matt, Mitchell Forrest, Nathan Weber, Paul Warner, Robert Van Huss, Ryan Woodley, Scott Parce, Sean Williams, Seth Green, Steve Yurko, Steven Brady, Terence Seymour, Travis Winston

How To Choose The Right Cycling Shoes - A Buyer's Guide

05:39
Road or MTB shoe? Laces or straps? In this video, Simon talks through some of the main features to consider when buying your next pair of cycling shoes. http://gcn.eu/SubscribeToGCN Just like most cycling equipment, there's a ton of choice out there when picking out footwear. Firstly, work out if most of your riding is on the road or off-road. Mountain bike shoes have grippier soles that are more suited to walking around in. Road shoes have a stiff, smooth sole which is better suited to transferring power. The stiffer the sole, the better the power transfer (so the theory goes). The most expensive shoes on the market will be super-light, often with a full carbon sole, with a natural leather upper - the Fizik shoes we were checking out were kangaroo leather. Of course, the most important thing is how well your shoe fits - comfort comes from a nice, snug fit and a bit of ventilation that doesn't let too much cold air in.
