Yes they say content is king, but you already know there's over a billion blogs. Nowadays Google isn't just picking from, hey what content do we wanna rank, 'cause we lack content. They're like, we have content on everything under the sun, and the same thing a hundred other times. So now they're just not picking, what content do we wanna rank? They're looking at authority, user metrics, they're even looking at when was the content created. Why would they wanna rank a content that's two years old, when they can rank something that's less than one week old. So when it comes to content marketing in 2019, you need to make sure that your content's also being up to date. If you don't update your old content, you're not going to get as much love as people who're continually pushing out new fresh content. Second tip I have for you is don't regurgitate the same information over and over again. People are tired of reading 12 SEO tips that'll double your traffic. You can google it, there's probably different variations of that number, but there's probably hundreds of articles on that subject. Write something new, fresh, that hasn't been seen before, you're more likely to get traffic, rankings, and even social shares. I know you're not gonna like this third tip, but the third tip for you guys is to create video and audio based content. Text is overrated, it doesn't help you connect with people as much as video. I still love text, I still crank out text, but the future is video. It's much more personable, people get to know you, your personality, your company better. So create video based content, upload it to YouTube, Linkedin, heck you can even do Twitter and Instagram if it's short enough, and of course Facebook. Don't share the same video over and over again, like sharing your YouTube video on Facebook. You gotta take that video all over again, and reupload it into Facebook. Linkedin for example, you gotta reupload the video all over again versus sharing the link to that Facebook video. Or that YouTube video. Now with audio you wanna create a podcast, it's easy, you can just bust out your phone, create a audio file, upload it to Itunes or Lip Sync, and you're off and to the races. Same with video, you don't actually have to go into a studio like I am, and shoot all these fancy videos and pay money. You can just bust out your phone. I would even say most the time, from all the tests we've ran, the videos that you end up running on your iPhone convert better if you're selling a product or service. So there's nothing wrong with doing that. Just look at Tai Lopez, he's known for just busting out his phone, and recording videos and it does very well for him. And the last tip I have for you is promoting your content. In 2019 you gotta spend more time promoting than writing. #NeilPatel #ContentMarketing #SEO

We see an unprecedented number of events asking people to apply, invitation-only events or a referral code system. How to master scarcity: Make your event invitation-only or by application. Look for a very targeted audience that would please your sponsors or that are keen to spend more. These are your primary targets, who you want in the room. Create higher pricing options. Usually, we discount to get more people through the door. Do the opposite to create disparity in your pricing and VIP areas. Keep aspects of the event secret. Secrecy goes hand in hand with scarcity. Keeping elements of the event available only to some attendees will raise curiosity and stimulate more registrations. Tactic #5 - Event Experience 60% of event planners say that the demand for experiences is increasing. How can you elevate your event to a 360-degree experience? Introduce elements of adventure. Are you engaging attendees to the next level, are you getting them to participate in special activities, tours, scavenger hunts, city activities. The ‘bleisure’ trend is pushing this kind of need in events around the world. Craft social programmes. Connect attendees with each other. Think creatively. If you don't know what you rank for, go log into Google search console. Go into Google search console, it'll show you all the terms that you're ranking for. Look for the most popular terms. Now that you've seen the terms that you're ranking for, look to see what page it's going to. Now that you know what page it's going to, we're like alright, this page is generating all these visitors from this one keyword. Let's say you rank for the term digital marketing like I do. You wanna take that phrase, head over to Ubersuggest, put that keyword into Ubersuggest. Ubersuggest will show you all the long tail variations of that keyword. These long tail variations are other variations of it, like digital marketing jobs, digital marketing consultant. Whatever they may be, but they're longer tail phrases of the head term, digital marketing. You wanna take those terms, like digital marketing jobs, digital marketing tips, and see which ones are relevant to the article or the page that's already ranking. Then, you wanna go to that page, and let's say for me it's digital marketing, and you wanna end up rewriting the content to be more detailed to include the long tail phrases that you haven't already included. What you'll find is, Ubersuggest shows you the most popular terms that are related to the head term, they're just longer variations. And it even lists them out in order based on popularity. If you take a minute, integrate them into your content, you'll find that within 30 to 60 days at the latest, you'll also start ranking for all those long tail phrases. Now, the trick with this isn't to just take those words like digital marketing tips and just shoving them in your content everywhere. Because if you spam, it creates a terrible experience and people are gonna bounce back. Instead, you need to adjust your content. So, my digital marketing guide got ranks for digital marketing, is roughly or around 10,000 words. Cause I kept going in, taking all these keywords and adjusting that content, so now it'll just be around digital marketing. But also all the other long tail variations that are around those phrases like digital marketing tips, digital marketing consultant. Now that you've adjusted your content, make sure you take some of the most popular long tail phrases, and put them in your title tag and meta description. When you do Google search, the title is a title tag, that sentence description under that is a meta description. By including those keywords, or some of them, within your title tag and meta description, you'll also find that is easier and faster to rank for them. Now, the last thing I want you to do is, when you're updating your article, feel free to link out to other sites to site your sources or that could be relevant and benefit your audience. Finding Your Memorable Name •  Online Brand Strategy, Set Up a Pro Blog #1

The first step in the creative process is to come up with your brand name online. Once you've figured out who your audience is, what your products or services are, you can begin the hunt for a name by searching with the Google Keyword Tool. Remember, your goal is to tell a memorable story. You want to come up with a name that relates to your industry niche. After some brainstorming, the name you come up with should resonate with your target audience by being: • Easy to Read • Easy to Write • Easy to Say • Also, Easy to Remember! The name I've come up with for this project is, "WebDeZen" –  kind of like "web design zen" (a play on words). So, I might start by putting in the words "web," "design," and "zen" and seeing what comes up. It seems the combination, "web design zen" is a relatively popular search term. Now that I've come up with a name, or phrase of the words, I want to see if the domain name is available. For this project, the domain name I've come up with is "webdezen.com." After seeing if the domain name is available, I also want to find out if it is available everywhere on social media as a username. Then, I want to do some research to see if anyone is using it as a hashtag. So, I'll start by looking on Twitter by just typing it in the address bar after "http://twitter.com/" and seeing if it's available. If I get a page not found, that tells me there is no one using it as a username. Next, I'll go over to Instagram, and I do the same thing there. Again, if I see the message "page not available," I know it's available. Repeating the steps, I'll head over to Pinterest and do the same thing. Finally, I'll check on Facebook. If I see "page not found, it's a good sign that the username is available. So, it looks like I am good-to-go on the most common social networks. The last thing I want to do is check to see how popular, or if it is even being used at all, as a hashtag. The way I do this is by going to a site called, "hashtagify.me" and I search there. Just like on the social sites, if I get a message that reads, "Oops, no data found," that tells me no one is using the hashtag either. Now that I know the phrase is available everywhere as a domain name, username, and hashtag, it's time to head over to NameCheap (or any domain name registrar) and register the domain name. Next, I'll head over to CloudFlare and add the DNS (or Domain NameServer) records, and finally connect to my web host, WP Engine. -- -- -- Who is Jason Holland? Third, in this scenario would be to publish the mp3 file separately to a podcast hosting site like Libsyn or SoundCloud and create a podcast with your audio content. This is because you may not want every post/video to be an episode (exactly what I'm doing) so you may need a larger queue of content to pull from in order to get a consistent publishing schedule once you start. Another important thing to keep in mind about your content marketing efforts... You don't have to get this all up and running at the same time. As I explained in this video, it took me several months to find and work with my writer who is turning my videos into written content (with the help of Trint)... And now, over 6 months into content creation, I am just barely getting started launching my podcast. The whole theory here is to get all you can out of everything you create... Mainly focusing on the platforms and locations that will get you the longest shelf life for your efforts. Once you have this strategy in place, you can move onto the concept of content syndication, which can leverage paid traffic and social media marketing to get even more reach for your content and your video marketing efforts.

Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. The businesses that make creating and publishing quality content a regular part of their routine are the ones that reap the rewards of: -Improved brand perception -Increased brand awareness -Increased customer acquisition -Thought leadership -Improved search engine rankings -Overall decreased marketing costs -And on and on and on. The benefits far outweigh the work involved and content marketing continues to prove itself as a dominant force to be reckoned with. What Is Content Marketing? Well my definition of content marketing as adapted from the Content Marketing Institute is that: “Content marketing is the strategy of creating and distributing valuable and relevant information to a specific target market with the end goal of driving profitable customer actions.” By this definition, anything you can think of to create for your customers can essentially be called content. These could be things like Blog posts, Articles, White-papers, Videos, Infographics, Podcasts, Webinars, and many more. You get the picture… The point to remember is that content marketing is a 2 part strategy. Creation is Step #1 and Distribution is Step #2 and both are necessary for a content marketing strategy to work. How Much Content Is Enough? While the strategy “more is better” certainly applies here, “more” also takes a lot of time. So the best thing to do is to focus on quality over quantity. If given the choice I would have to choose: Longer and less frequent content Over… Shorter and more frequent content. There are obviously massive exceptions to this rule, but the takeaway point is this: People, social media, and search engines tend to prefer longer form content, which usually provides more value. Also, Once a week posting is a great strategy to shoot for. The most important point is to pick a publishing date, and then stick to it. Compounding Value Just like compound interest, the sooner you start creating content the sooner you’ll start benefiting from the power of compounding value. As you create and build up content over time, you’re building a valuable and powerful asset of knowledge, information, resources, and material, which you can mine and extract from in the future. Once you create content, it’s yours forever.
