The Top 10 Hidden Messages in Cartoons
Number #10: The Lion King Thong Front Cover
In 2002, The Lion King was re-released, and the promotional poster was a bit of a hit as well--especially among teenage boys. At first glance it might not look like anything, however, upon closer inspection there it is---a woman’s backside, thong, and legs are making up Simba’s face.
Number #9: The Little Mermaid’s VHS Cover
Oh, the Little Mermaid seems like such a delightful movie about a mermaid that wants to become human to marry her prince, however, look again. The cover on the VHS has one of the castle’s spires in the shape of a...phallus.
Number #8: The Rescuers
37-40 minutes into the movie,The Rescuers, there is an obvious naked woman in a window behind Bernard and Bianca. As they are riding around on a sardine can, its quite obvious, and there is no mistaking---the naked woman. In 1999, Disney recalled the copies of the 1977 original movie. Disney has placed the blame on a disgruntled employee at the post-production company.
Number #7: Hercules
When the River Guardian is hit in the head by the horseshoe a phallus grows out of his head. The eyebrows of the Guardian become testicles and the phallus grows right up thru the horseshoe.
Number #6: The Wabbit Who Came to Supper
The artist has actually admitted to this one being intentional. When Bugs Bunny’s towel falls down in the 1942 cartoon, The Wabbit Who Came to Supper, Elmer Fudd looks down and sees an overexposed Bugs Bunny.
Number #5: Pocahontas
In every scene in Pocahontas there is a reference to sex. In some scenes they are obvious and intentional but in others the stretch of the imagination is required. Any scene that has water and/or smoke will have the word sex spelled out forward or backwards.
Number #4: Jessica Rabbit’s Dress
When Jessica Rabbit is tossed from the taxi as it collides with the lamp post, for a split second, her dress flies up and reveals she isn’t wearing any underwear. This scene would’ve needed to been gone thru frame by frame to catch it as it happens for less than a milli-second. Some people have too much time on their hands.
Number #3: Take off Your Clothes
When Aladdin is on Jasmine’s balcony and tries to fend off her tiger, you hear him say “Take off your clothes. Take off your clothes.” The volume needs to be turned up to hear him but he does indeed say something----is Aladdin the gentleman we thought he was or could he indeed be a creep? The world may never know.
Number #2: The Lion King S-E-X
While Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon are relaxing on the cliff, above them a dust cloud appears. The dust cloud forms the letters S-E-X. It’s possible it was meant to be S-F-X for the special effects crew but that certainly looks more like an E than an F.
The Little Mermaid’s ‘phallic palace’ came in at #9 on the countdown and now The Little Mermaid comes in again grabbing the #1 position. The minister performing the wedding at the end of the movie has ‘something come up’. Some have said it is actually the minister’s knee but….have a look for yourself.
Time for the question of the day:
