In this video, we do an Aliexpress unboxing from items that we requested to have blindly dropshipped, so you can see exactly what the customers receives when you blind dropship an item. Here at Wholesale Ted, we get asked a lot of questions in-regards to this… “Won’t the Aliexpress seller include an invoice in the package, telling the buyer the real price I paid? Won’t they get angry?” “I don’t want to dropship from Aliexpress because sellers include marketing information (like their seller name and coupon codes) that identifies them, so the buyer can go direct to the Aliexpress seller.” Luckily, there is a simple solution to this - and that is to blindly dropship your items from the Aliexpress suppliers. QUESTION: What is Blind Dropshipping? ANSWER: Blind dropshipping is when a supplier dropships an item without including any marketing or advertising identifying them as the seller. It also means they don’t include an invoice so the customer can’t see how much you paid. As a result, the buyer as no idea where you go the item from (so they can’t go direct to them) and they don’t know the real price of it. QUESTION: That’s great… how do I blindly dropship then? ANSWER: It’s actually very simple. All you need to do is ask the Aliexpress supplier to do it. When you purchase an item, on the checkout page you’ll be offered an option to leave a message for the seller. Simply type in a message like this: "Hi there. Please do not include an invoice or any marketing materials with this order. Please blindly dropship this item. Thank you" If you add a message like this, then your item will be shipped out and not include any invoices/marketing materials/coupon codes inside. QUESTION: Why would suppliers be willing to blindly dropship? ANSWER: A lot of Aliexpress sellers are used to working with dropshippers, and actively seek them out. Why? Because dropshippers can do large amounts of volume, and be very profitable for them. As a result of working with us, Aliexpress suppliers are used to the needs of dropshippers and know how to ship while hiding their identity. QUESTION: Why in this video do you recommend working with Aliexpress suppliers that have a feedback score between 2,000-2 million? ANSWER: Sellers in this feedback range are the “sweet spot.” They are established suppliers, so likely have previous experience working with dropshippers and will understand your requests. Yet they aren’t doing an absolutely insane amount of sales volume, so they will be more likely to pay close attention to messages. QUESTION: Is there anything else I do to ensure the supplier will blind dropship my item? ANSWER: Yes - there is. If you’d like to be doubly safe, then we recommend reaching out to the supplier and messaging them. You can ask them if they offer blind dropshipping, and check that they understand what it is. QUESTION: So you say that you ordered items from Aliexpress suppliers and unboxed them in the video… was any marketing material or invoices included in the packages? ANSWER: Nope! We ordered four different items from four different suppliers. All of the suppliers were in the feedback score range we recommended in this video (2,000 to 2 million). There was nothing included on or in the packages indicating who the seller was. There were no invoices included in the packages, indicating the true cost of the item. And there were no coupons included in the package, and they made no attempts to try and “poach” customers. And finally, here is something to keep in mind… this highlights something very important: oftentimes, seemingly complicated problems have very simple, easy solutions. We’ve noticed that a ot of people get held back from starting a dropshipping business because of this issue. They tell us things like: “I want to do this, but I’m worried the customer will get an invoice in their package.” “I’d like to start a dropshipping business, but it won’t work, because the Aliexpress seller will include advertising information in the package, identifying them.” Well… a little bit of research reveals that actually - this isn’t true at all if you just ask them to not do so! They will leave all of that out. So remember - if you hit a stumbling block along the way, don’t let it stop you. The solution to it is likely simpler that you realized.

Fast Forward to 2003 I bought a Samsung Yepp MP3 Player and I was blown away by it, and it changed the way I thought about Samsung products. Then it seemed like all of a sudden, for me at least, by 2010 Sony was not the flagship company they used to be and Samsung was the Flagship company for almost all things electronics. This is the story about the how Samsung replaced Sony as the King of the electronics industry. It’s a story about leadership and it begins with Sony’s founders Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita. Ibuka and Morita were engineers who met as researchers for Japan’s Navy Wartime Research Committee during WWII. After the war, Morita saw an article about Ibuka’s plans for a business venture and he reached out to Ibuka to join the business. In 1946, Morita and Ibuka founded the Tokyo Telecommunication Engineering Corporation on a rented floor of a department store. The company’s technology was limited in the beginning but Morita and Ibuka had a wonderous vision for the company, which was to contribute to society by providing new products to consumers that were based on liberal, open corporate culture. To compliment this vision, Morita and Ibuka centered the company around brilliant founding principles of Freedom and Open-mindedness that in time was in-grained in the corporation’s culture leading them to produce so many ground-breaking products for the next 50 years. Samsung was founded before Sony in 1938 by Lee Byung-Chul as a small export business selling fruits, vegetables, and dried fish. Eventually, Samsung branched out into a variety of industries, such as insurance, securities, and retail. Samsung Electronics was established in 1969 and humbly started producing home appliance parts for Sanyo Electric Company. Then, without the technology to produce colored TVs, they started producing black and white TVs in 1970 which were outdated by then. Samsung eventually produced colored TVs by 1976 and also began to produce a diverse array of products, such as microwaves, washing machines, and refrigerators. On top of that, they established vertical integration by manufacturing components in-house. In 1980, Samsung acquired the government-owned telecom equipment maker Korea Telecommunications Corporation and started developing switchboards, telephone, and fax manufacturing systems. For a long time, Samsung products lacked the technology to produce expensive and more profitable products and the Samsung brand was perceived as cheap and low-quality. Three factors led to why Sony declined so quickly in the digital age. First, when Idei became President, Sony had a lot of debt and was in poor financial shape due to major acquisitions in music and movies along with expansion overseas and Idei had that looming over him and he made decisions shift to focus on short-term profit. Second, Ohga put off identifying his successor until he was close to his mandatory age, and by the time he selected Idei, he did not have time to mentor him. Under the leadership of Lee, Samsung’s strategy to dominate the electronics industry came from two tactics, Aggressive Investment and Speed. This strategy originated from the company’s approach to their DRAM business. When Samsung entered the DRAM market in the 1980’s they were 5 years behind their competitors in technology. In efforts to close the gap, Samsung completed its first production facility is just 6 months, a project that usually took two to three years. Samsung managers and engineers simultaneously managed the design, plans, and construction of the facility, sleeping at an on-site barracks, only going home once a week to change clothes. Today, Sony is led by its new President Kenichiro Yoshida and under his direction, the company is doubling down on content as they recently made a $2 Billion acquisition of EMI Music Publishing. Sony is now the largest music publishing company in the world with an insane library of 4.3 million songs and growing.

In the UK, the Sellotape brand has long been established as the generic name for the entire gift tape category - a category that doesn't change much. Scotch® is the industry innovator. But this had not been communicated effectively. So we needed an activation campaign that would challenge Sellotape's dominance and encourage trial amongst the primary users of gift tape: mums. At birthday and Christmas time, that can be a time consuming job. So we wanted to demonstrate how much easier the gift wrapping process is when you use Scotch® POP-UP TAPE. As well as this communication objective, we had a very clear business objective: to capture 20,000 unique email addresses and establish a database which could then be used for subsequent campaigns. We decided the best way to achieve our objectives was to demonstrate the product and attach an engaging experience to it. So we reinvented a classic game that has always been about sharing and inclusion, and took it online. `Pass the Parcel' resonated with mums, made them feel nostalgic and featured a product demonstration at the heart of the mechanic. We created a buzz around the game through strategic seeding on sites which prompted huge interest and discussion. We incentivised traffic to the site by rewarding participation with prizes ranging from Scotch® POP-UP TAPE vouchers to iPod Shuffles. After providing their email addresses, visitors watched as their mystery animated parcels wrapped and unwrapped themselves to reveal if they'd won a prize. And whether they won or not, everyone who played was given the chance to pass the experience on to friends and family. English Transcript: Hello! This is our MRID Update vlog. My name is Nic Zapko, I’m currently an MRID board member. This past spring, our update was by way of vlog, the update after that was in written English form, and now this one is in ASL via vlog. Can you believe summer is over and it’s already September? Everyone is already going back to school, back to work; I really hope you all had a great summer! During the last update, we had our hands full with the many events happening in our community: Deaf Aware Day, Camp ASL, Spring Conference, the ITP Grad party – wow it was a busy and very successful spring! Camp ASL was one for the record books! A total of 140 attendees, and it was truly an incredible weekend! This summer was not one for rest – nope! We buckled down and got straight back to work. The focus the last few months has been strategic planning, trying to figure out how MRID can be at its best. From those discussions, the Change Group was established. You the vlog from them last week? Well another one is coming shortly! We worked in collaboration with that group to see where our strengths and weaknesses were and where we can truly grow as an organization. You will learn more about that this coming fall. Speaking of fall, will there be a fall conference, you ask? Yes! Absolutely there will be! We are thrilled to host fall conference this year. I’m sure you’ve noticed over the years that fall conference is typically MEA weekend – well this year we’ve moved it to the last weekend in October, on the 26th – 28th, at the beautiful Breezy Point Resort. This year we’re proud to say there’s 16 different workshops and 3 keynotes! Up to 2.0 CEUs will be offered and the conference will be presented entirely in ASL! I’m sure you’re wondering the cost. From now until Sept 30th, the cost is $350. Of course, you’re thinking, oh but I also have to pay for food, and lodging, right? Nope! That cost includes 2.0 CEUs, 2 nights lodging, and 7 meals! She literally started from scratch to create this amazingly beautiful website that does everything we need and more! The key dynamics in culture, communication, advertising and marketing: - Mass is back (Say hello to the Swell Society). At the turn of this year online downloads were included as part of the UK Christmas pop chart for the first time ever. This trend of online popularity being institutionalized shows that mass appeal will once again define marketing attitudes. The goal is the same; reach a mass audience, the difference is how to achieve it. Say hello to the Swell Society. - Community Commerce. Community connections will become more central to business practice. Retailers will seek to bring the community further inside the store, with more coffee shops, banking services and pharmacies within supermarkets. On the other side, community connections are being used to create new businesses for established brands. - Screen Saturation. Moving forward we will see the explosion of screen-based media, with screens on the side of buses, in petrol stations, supermarkets, the home and the pocket. While the medium may remain the same, the reach, context, audience and role of the media will be tweaked. There will be more broadcast screens than ever in 2010 and things are only going to get bigger: According to Sharp, the electronics manufacturer, the average television screen size will be 60" by 2015. - Gender Reversal. More women in work and the increasing role played by men within the family will see marketers change their focus. Men's interest and investment in the family will continue to rise as well, morphing the gender balance and changing the advertising context. Expect to see more and more campaigns aimed at women at work and men in the home. - Brand Guardians. The role of brands is evolving and will enter a new phase. With growing concerns over how to be healthy, safe and environmentally friendly, mixed with a real confusion about how to achieve this, we will see brands increasingly attempting to take on a guardian role. - IP Idols. Artists are grabbing control of their creative product. Intellectual Property (creative works -- ideas, songs, movies, TV shows) used to be owned and licensed by studios, record labels and other commercial institutions, but we will see artists back in the driving seat. - The Data Awareness Era. The public will be more aware of their data exposure than ever before and privacy concerns will be a defining issue in the future. Expect this trend to accelerate with the introduction of GPS location based information, the explosion in online information storage and social networking increasingly reflecting real life... - Social Networks Get Real. Social networks like Facebook -- once just virtual playgrounds - will now start to plug directly back into the real world. Increasingly we will see these networks beginning to dictate everyday life, influencing who people do business with, which parties, movies and gigs they go to, where they meet and with whom. Accelerating this shift is the advent and take up of mobile social networking: 14m people did it in 2007, and forecasts suggest it could hit 600m by the time the Olympics hits London in 2012. Oil Change Service on Mercedes Benz What is an oil change all about? Engine oil is the lifeblood of the engine. The oil resides in the oil pan, which is under the car attached to the bottom of the engine. All internal (moving) parts of the engine need to be lubricated by the engine oil. Inadequate lubrication will cause the parts to wear out faster and eventually lead to engine failure. An oil filter keeps the oil clean and free of debris. If the filter is not replaced on a regular basis, it will get clogged and will not be able to pass oil into the engine. When the oil is changed you should always replace the oil filter. Replacement oil should always match the required specifications for your vehicle. After your oil has been changed, it’s a good idea to run the vehicle for a few minutes to make sure that there are no leaks.

We were fortunate enough to bump into Living Blueprint and through a series of conversations and more introspective discussions we realized we had an opportunity to do something a little different, to actually redefine the brand and how we're perceived in the marketplace. From that, we started down the path of a logo and then it led to taglines, it led to vision and mission. Allan Holmes-Founder: We realized that to take it to the next level we really had to stop and kind of reflect and say okay, across all the things that we do, what are the common values that we have and what is the common culture. So by doing that, it allowed us an amazing opportunity, really a once in a lifetime opportunity to take what we've built for the last 15 years, boil down what was really the essence of the culture and the corporate values and then launch that in a consistent path forward. Vern Biccum: Where Living Blueprint helped us was they kept coming back to us, they provided ideas, and they listened to what we had to say. It's a long haul but I think at the end it's truly worthwhile, especially if the result is something that resonates very well with who are, helps you tell your story and infuses you with pride, which is where we're at today. Allan Holmes: It's the energy that now moves forward and this brand launch has been a great way of solidifying all of what has gone on over the last 18 months and I think that one thing that I'm very proud of is that the launch is real step-off point. I think that if you do some the components of the launch out of sync, you really lose that opportunity to really get that momentum. Having that whole movement forward is going to take us into areas that I don't even think I know right now. It's almost like we've moved into a new lead because we've now got a world-class name, a world-class logo. Having a group like Living Blueprint involved in that process was immensely beneficial, we could not have done this on our own. We needed the guidance and we needed the ability for all of the pieces that they bring when it comes to understanding what a brand is about. What Living Blueprint allows you to do is to understand who you are in a way that is a functional productive process to get you to the goal, which is to have a brand identity that you can be proud of and you can move forward. Background and case study Renaming an established company can be just as challenging a task as choosing a name for a new business. If you have been around for a while and find yourself at an impasse with your brand and company name, what do you do? Done without enough planning and the right help, people may think the company was sold, or changed markets. The key is to showcase that it is a really positive move forward? The first thing to do is gain a realistic view of your company and all its components. Is everything in alignment with who you are and where you are going? Who you are: Core values, team spirit, and focus. If you are a unique company striving to become a recognized leader, having a distinctive meaningful name can be a real asset. Where you are going: Sony was once called Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo, this name was important to the company and to Japan but had little meaning to the outside world. The name 'Iridia' is borrowed from Iridium, an element with properties that align perfectly with the brand and company, as outlined below. • It is very rare, much in the same way that our team is a very unique collection of people, interests, and expertise. • It connects with other metals to form alloys, as we engage stakeholders to build solutions. • It is a standard of measure for weight, and we set the standard for practical, effective solutions for our clients. • It is durable as are we in having weathered economic slowdowns, competition, and a changing market landscape. Lastly, and most intriguingly, is the fact that Iridium is found in very high concentrations in meteors and asteroids when compared to the amounts found in the earth's crust. This finding has led to the idea that an asteroid colliding with the earth triggered an ice age and the eradication of the dinosaurs. This "out with old, in with the new" paradigm aligns perfectly with Iridia, as going back to their founding days, they are perpetually challenging the status quo in the interest of finding new ways to bring about improvements.
