How IFBB Pro Evan Centopani Eats to Build Muscle | Iron Intelligence Training Program
Without a consistent nutritional approach to back it up, even the best muscle gaining training protocol can end up being a fat-loss program, a fat-gain program, or just a "look exactly the same" program. ► Shop Animal Supplements: http://bbcom.me/2DPMzvp ► Premium Fitness Plans: http://bbcom.me/2DQ7j60 ► Evan Centopani's Iron Intelligence Training Program: http://bbcom.me/2DRGWN1 That's one reason why Evan Centopani says that as a professional bodybuilder, he is also a "professional eater." He takes this stuff very seriously. If you want to get the most out of his groundbreaking program Iron Intelligence, learning what you can from his nutritional approach is a must. Before you lift a single weight, do yourself a favor and watch this nutritional day in the life of one of the world's top bodybuilders. No, you don't have to eat as much as a 275-pound bodybuilder does to be successful with this program—although we've provided that info if you want to try. But you'll probably have to eat more than you're accustomed to, both in terms of protein and vegetables. If you watched Evan's video "How an IFBB Pro Really Eats," you know the man can put away serious amounts of kale. This won't be easy. But will it be worth it? Well, I'll let you decide once you start struggling to find a pair of pants that fit over your quads. | How Much to Eat | - Calories are necessary to drive growth, but not at the expense of throwing nutrient quality and your health out the window. Evan insists that food quality is crucial. "If you're constantly eating like crap, you're going to train like crap," he says. - That's not a recipe for growth. Rather than focusing purely on protein, carbohydrates, and fat, he adds a fourth mandatory "macro"—vegetables—and he encourages you to do the same. - Here are the macros he recommends for anyone following Iron Intelligence: Protein: 1.5 grams per pound of body weight per day Carbohydrates: 1.5 grams per pound of body weight per day Healthy Fats: 0.65 grams per pound of body weight per day Vegetables: 2 grams per pound of body weight per day Remember that the numbers above serve as a starting point, not a set-in-stone prescription. Begin by figuring out how many calories you need per day by using Bodybuilding.com's calorie calculator. Make sure you select "weight gain" and choose either "moderately" or "very" active, depending on your job and lifestyle outside of the gym. | What to Eat | Protein Sources: Chicken and turkey breast, chicken liver, lean red meat (90/10 ground, flank steak, sirloin, filet), white fish (cod, fluke, flounder, sole), eggs, whey protein Carbohydrate Sources: Rice (white, brown, jasmine), sweet or white potatoes, oats, fruit, oat flour, brown rice syrup Fats: Nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, macadamia nuts), seeds (pumpkin, flax, sunflower), avocado, olive oil, canola oil Vegetables: Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, bell peppers, carrots, rutabaga, turnips, squash ============================================= | Evan Centopani's Recommended Supplements | ► Animal Fury Pre-Workout: http://bbcom.me/2DPApTg ► Animal Whey: http://bbcom.me/2DRhEPr ► Animal Omega: http://bbcom.me/2DOEOWA ► Animal Pak: http://bbcom.me/2DSyEEA ► Universal Carbo Plus: http://bbcom.me/2DRi5t3 ► Universal Creatine: http://bbcom.me/2DNSfG1 ► Animal Shake Cup: http://bbcom.me/2DQpkBk | Animal Clothing & Accessories | ► Animal Iron Intelligence Iconic T-Shirt: http://bbcom.me/2DRGRcb ► Animal Iconic Tank: http://bbcom.me/2DP29Hn ► Animal Iconic T-Shirt: http://bbcom.me/2DPNnjV ► Animal Pullover Hoodie: http://bbcom.me/2DP5GWu ► Animal Zip Up Hoodie: http://bbcom.me/2DQpdpo ► Animal Sweatpants: http://bbcom.me/2DQpkkO ► Animal Beanie: http://bbcom.me/2DOEwis ► Animal Gym Bag: http://bbcom.me/2DQ7b6w ► Animal Wrist Wraps: http://bbcom.me/2DRjz6i ► Animal Pro Lifting Straps: http://bbcom.me/2DOEcQM ============================================= | Bodybuilding.com | ► Supplement Store: http://bbcom.me/2DQEmqT ► Sales & Specials: http://bbcom.me/2DOZBt2 ► Fitness Articles: http://bbcom.me/2DOZDkE ► Premium Fitness Plans: http://bbcom.me/2DQ7j60 ============================================= | Follow Us | ► Twitch: http://bit.ly/2q1dttE ► YouTube: http://bit.ly/1RSJFa4 ► Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1lomhpr ► Instagram: http://bit.ly/1LzBxab ► Twitter: http://bit.ly/1RSJQlL ► Google+: http://bit.ly/1NRe8qu ► Pinterest: http://bit.ly/1OOZgY4 ► Spotify: http://spoti.fi/1NRebm0 We are Bodybuilding.com. 7 Facts About Coffee You Probably Didn’t Know
How to drink coffee the right way and healthy? Why is coffee good for you? Here are 7 surprising reasons why you need to get yourself a cup of coffee right now. TIMESTAMPS Coffee boosts brainpower 0:40 Coffee increases blood pressure 1:46 Coffee makes your immune system stronger 2:24 Coffee relieves a headache 3:16 Coffee reduces stress 3:51 Coffee improves your memory 4:40 Coffee helps you lose weight 5:30 An amazing coffee cocktail recipe 6:06 SUMMARY - Coffee with sugar can turn you into a little genius for a while because the combination of caffeine and glucose activates certain sectors of your brain. The caffeine in coffee acts as a mild stimulant to the central nervous system. This neuronal activity triggers the release of the adrenaline, that will affect your body in several ways: your heartbeat increases, blood pressure rises, breathing tubes open up, sugar is released into the bloodstream for extra energy. - You might want to keep off the coffee if you are going to have a blood pressure test within the next 2 days. If you have high blood pressure, ask your doctor whether you should limit or stop drinking caffeinated beverages. - Coffee is known for its energy-boosting caffeine effect -- is an abundant source of nutrients and healthful chemicals that can aid your immune system. According to scientists from several countries, coffee reduces the risk of premature death. This is because coffee alters your immune system, making it stronger and healthier. - The caffeine can cure headaches and migraines. People are aware that caffeine is found in coffee, tea, soft drinks and chocolate, but may not know that caffeine is also contained in a variety of over the counter medications. That’s why it’s an ingredient in a lot of traditional pain relievers. - Coffee acts well as an anti-stress substance due to the release of dopamine and serotonin, which "trigger" a good mood. One cup, or even just the smell of coffee, can calm your nerves. This could explain a lower risk of depression among coffee drinkers. - Coffee can positively affect mood, enhance alertness, and memory abilities. The stimulators and neuro-mediators obtained from coffee not only boost your mood and productivity but also improve your memory. Of course, this only works with your short-term memory. - Coffee can keep off and help you lose excess weight. It can temporarily suppress your appetite and may stimulate minimal calorie burning. When the level of the hormone leptin is low, your body starts storing fat, and you gain weight. Coffee, however, increases the hormone levels in your body. BONUS If you're looking for something sweet to pair your milk, this cocktail recipe is a must. It is deliciously smooth and refreshing and, if bottled, ready to take on the go. • Make your favorite coffee. • Let it cool off, then fill an ice cube tray with the coffee. • Place it in the freezer. On a hot day, add the coffee cubes to a glass of milk. Sip a delicious mix and feel wonderful! Share the video with your friends to keep them caffeinated and hit the like button below the video! Keto Diet Tip: 4 Easy Tricks to Get Into Ketosis Faster- Thomas DeLauer
Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Check Out Kettle and Fire Bone Broth Here: http://www.KettleandFire.com Keto Diet Tip: 4 Easy Tricks to Get Into Ketosis Faster- Thomas DeLauer… Lymph System: Similar to veins and arteries, but lymph vessels are much smaller, and instead of bringing blood throughout the body, the lymphatic system carries a liquid called lymph. It circulates throughout the body, bathing our cells, providing them with nutrients and oxygen and also picking up unwanted substances like, bacteria, and filters them out of the body. In addition to its cleansing functions, the lymph is also the body’s major fat-processing system – allows the absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the digestive system, followed by transport of these fats to your blood circulation. Lymph carries fatty acids to the liver, the main fat burning organ, for further processing and metabolism. This causes fat to accumulate in the body, especially in the abdomen, as well as other negative signs of a sluggish lymphatic system. (1,2,3) Exercise – Upper/Lower Splits: The lymphatic system has no heart to keep lymph moving and is instead moved by exercise, specifically muscle expansion and contraction. As muscles tighten, lymph vessels are squeezed and lymph is pushed along and filtered through lymph nodes on its way back to the veins and the heart. The main lymph vessels run up the legs, up the arms and up the torso - the largest groupings are found in the neck, armpits, and groin areas. Caffeine: A study from the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (2016) looked at the effect of caffeine on ketone levels. The study looked at the addition of 2.5 mg/kg caffeine (equiv. to ca. 1.5-3 cups of coffee w/ ~95 mg/cup) and 5.0 mg/kg caffeine (equiv. to ca. 3-5 cups of coffee w/ ~95 mg/cup) to subjects’ breakfast. The lower dose (almost) and the higher dose (more than) doubled the subjects’ concentrations of ketone bodies and free fatty acids in the subjects’ blood – ketones became more pronounced over time. Should be noted that subjects consumed caffeine pills; caffeine in the form of coffee will work just as effectively, but need to be careful of what additives you are including in your coffee (4) MCT’s: Because of their shorter length, MCTs are more easily digested and absorbed in the GI tract than LCTs. Once dietary fats are absorbed by the GI the body must then transport it to the liver where it is metabolized to produce energy. MCTs are transported directly from the gastrointestinal tract through the bloodstream to the liver. Fat metabolism occurs in the mitochondria of the liver and the liver then converts these molecules to fatty acids and ketone bodies. MCTs provide immediate energy because they are able to cross the double mitochondrial membrane very rapidly and do not require the presence of carnitine (LCTs require carnitine to enter the mitochondria) (5) Fasting: The initial phase of fasting involves a process known as gluconeogenesis, which simply means the creation of new glucose. When there is no endogenous glucose to be found, the body will then seek out other ways of getting energy and begins to adapt to these new conditions – on average, if you don’t eat for 10–16 hours, your body will go to its fat stores for energy, and fatty acids called ketones will be released into the bloodstream. The more keto-adapted you become the more ketones you’ll successfully utilize. At first, the brain and muscles are quite glucose dependent. But eventually they start to prefer fat for fuel. It’s dinner time and, feeling claustrophobic in our hotel room, we wander the main streets looking for a place to eat. The bars and restaurants are filled with loving couples and animated groups of friends. We gingerly enter a diner but, as we take in the warmth and convivial atmosphere, are struck by acute self-consciousness. We blush crimson and clumsily turn to leave before an approaching waiter has had the chance to offer us a seat. How I Lost Belly Fat In 7 Days: No Strict Diet No Workout!
How to get rid of your lower belly pooch? Are you familiar with the situation when you want to put on some item of clothing hanging in the back of your closet, but something holds you back from it? Your belly! This problem can be solved. If you wanna know how to do it just watch our new video! TIMESTAMPS: What to do to reduce bloating 1:56 How to get rid of water weight 3:40 How to change your lifestyle and reconsider your diet 5:24 #weightloss #7days #bellyfatweek Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Fat isn’t always the culprit when it comes to extra inches around the midsection. If you’ve just recently noticed that you’re not fitting into your clothes the way you did not so long ago, it’s more likely to be a result of bloating and water weight. - Bloating is definitely not fat. It’s air or gas that collects in your gut and causes the stomach to feel tight, full, and swollen. - Consuming more ginger is another bloat-reducing trick. You can drink it as a tea or eat it fresh. - Much sodium (which is the stuff that’s in salt) causes the body to retain more water. - Your biggest ally when it comes to reducing water weight is…water! Surprising, right? But it’s true; the more water you drink, the less liquid builds up in your body! - Carbonated drinks make you bloated and gassy. - The lifestyle changes were a no-brainer. Instead of the elevator, you should take the stairs; instead of parking near the entrance to some place, you should park further away and walk; instead of sitting in front of the TV all evening, you should go for short 15 to 30-minute walks. How to Eat for Mass | Jay Cutler Living Large | Ep 3
The best bodybuilders have nutrition down to a science. Jay Cutler might as well have a Ph.D. in eating large and getting big. Maximize your muscle growth by following his nutrition plan! ► Jay Cutler's 8-Week Mass Program: http://bbcom.me/2HsYSQo ► Shop Bodybuilding Signature Supplements: http://bbcom.me/2HtrcSL Elite bodybuilders like Jay Cutler need more food in one day than most of us eat in two. Or three. You may not be 280 pounds of muscular mayhem, but if you want to gain size, you need to be ready to eat, and then continuously ask for more. Many lifters think the size battle is won or lost in the gym, but the diet is what separates the beasts from the boys. Learn how Jay Cutler eats, check out what he eats, and take home some nutrition lessons from the man himself. Take in the right food in the right amounts at the right times, and you'll be a mass monster in the making. Let the metamorphosis begin. He trains hard, he works hard, but more than anything, Jay Cutler eats. A lot. "Cooking and eating is five to six hours of my day, no question," Jay says. "If you follow me around for a day or two, you'll see that most of my time is spent eating meals." Food is Jay's biggest expense, his biggest time-sink—and one of the main reasons he's been so monumentally successful. Eating so much so often is Jay's biggest challenge. "The hardest part about being the competitive bodybuilder Jay Cutler is the amount of calories I need to eat," he says. Most bodybuilders love to eat; they crave food. Not Jay: "I have zero cravings and zero anticipation for any meal. I don't look forward to food." Jay may not love it, but he still has to eat every three hours. He eats at midnight, again at three a.m., and then he eats his breakfast at six a.m. "The consumption of food remains consistent, and I still can't eat enough," Jay says. When he's training for a contest, Jay likes to stay home to prepare his food, leaving nothing to chance. "I like to weigh everything," he says. "[Precontest], I take my diet very seriously." Nonetheless, Jay's immense caloric expenditure means he eats food that most clean eaters would avoid. "Having a turkey sandwich and some potato chips is great for me," he says. "I'll have a Snickers bar every once in a while." To keep his size, Jay also needs a pretty consistent fuel of insulin-stoking simple carbohydrates. "Dense, fibrous carbs don't hit my body hard enough." He may not like having to eat as much or as often as he does, but Jay has the experience and willpower to do it well. It is his mental toughness that makes him not only a physical specimen but also a warrior at the mental game. | Bodybuilding.com Signature Supplements & Clothing | ► Signature 100% Whey Protein: http://bbcom.me/2FbU5C5 ► Signature Pre Workout: http://bbcom.me/2FbUrbT ► Signature Amino Plus Energy: http://bbcom.me/2FecQoD ► Signature BCAA: http://bbcom.me/2FbUO6h ► Signature Fish Oil: http://bbcom.me/2FbV8lv ► Signature Creatine Monohydrate: http://bbcom.me/2FbVuZn ► Signature Multivitamin: http://bbcom.me/2FeBs0z ► Bodybuilding.com Clothing: http://bbcom.me/2Fe6BB4 ============================================= | Bodybuilding.com | ► Supplement Store: http://bbcom.me/2HvdUVK ► Sales & Specials: http://bbcom.me/2Hw5ygu ► Fitness Articles: http://bbcom.me/2FfKhHh ► Premium Fitness Plans: http://bbcom.me/2Hw5JIG ============================================= | Follow Us | ► Twitch: http://bit.ly/2q1dttE ► YouTube: http://bit.ly/1RSJFa4 ► Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1lomhpr ► Instagram: http://bit.ly/1LzBxab ► Twitter: http://bit.ly/1RSJQlL ► Google+: http://bit.ly/1NRe8qu ► Pinterest: http://bit.ly/1OOZgY4 ► Spotify: http://spoti.fi/1NRebm0 We are Bodybuilding.com. 4 Foods to Help you Transition off Sugar & Reduce Cravings
Check Out Suzie's Good Fats Here: US Store: https://bit.ly/2yeAYVa Canadian Store: https://bit.ly/2DV2Tzk Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com 4 Foods to Help you Transition off Sugar & Reduce Cravings - Thomas DeLauer Transitioning off of sugar or transitioning off of carbohydrates can be one of the most difficult things when it comes down to starting a low carb lifestyle or going on a keto diet. The fact is, we don't give enough credit to those that actually kick the sugar addiction. It's very easy to get addicted to carbs. It's even easier to get addicted to sugar, and of course, it all has to do with its effect on the brain, but what I want to do in this video is I want to help you understand exactly what you can start eating and what you can start implementing into your life to get over the hump and to kick the sugar withdrawals and to kick the sugar addiction once and for all. All right, so let's cut right to the chase. Let's get to the good stuff. What's the first thing that you can start consuming when you're going through this transition phase? What's the first thing that you can consume when you're starting to feel the sugar withdrawal is coming on? Okay, you're starting to get the headache. You're starting to get kind of antsy. You're getting nervous, you're getting the anxiety, you feel like you just subconsciously want to reach for that sugar. What can you do? One of the things that you can start implementing immediately is drinking some more matcha green tea. Here's the thing. Matcha is different from regular green tea. The concentration of what are called catechins is significantly more. See, catechins are different pathways in which green tea activates different enzymes and different receptors within the body, but when we're talking about matcha, there's one particular catechin that stands out, and it's one that you've probably heard of before. It's called EGCG, also known as epigallocatechin-3-gallate. Okay. EGCG has some pretty profound effects on the body through multiple different pathways, but the one I want to reference here is its effect on what is called CCK, also known as cholecystokinin. CCK is a hormone that is triggered in response to food hitting the upper part of your small intestine. So as soon as you eat, and you start digesting, and that food hits your small intestine, this CCK is released, and it's the job of the CCK to communicate with the brain and tell your brain that you shouldn't have a desire to eat anymore. Okay, maybe you've heard of ghrelin before. Ghrelin is another hunger hormone, but that's a little bit of a different ballgame, and honestly, CCK completely blows ghrelin out of the water when it comes down to its effect on the brain. So matcha green tea has been shown to increase levels of CCK quite significantly, making it so that even without consuming food, you get that same satiation response. What's really intriguing is that there are studies that show that subjects that are literally injected with CCK halt their eating at that very moment. So a subject could literally be eating a meal, and then is injected with CCK, and will just stop eating. It's like the desire to eat is just completely gone. It's not a feeling of fullness. It's not really a feeling of bloated, like I'm full, I don't want to eat anymore like ghrelin. It's more of just a psychological thing, like I have zero desire to eat anymore. So since matcha can improve CCK levels, it's honestly a no brainer. References 1) Zimmer L , et al. (n.d.). 10 Foods You Should Never Eat
We know some products are really dangerous for our health, and other products are good for us as they are healthy. It turns out it’s not so simple and some of the most promoted and popular foods can, in fact, harm you. Never eat these 10 dangerous foods for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. Even if you see the juice labels “not from concentrate” or “100% pure”, don't let this fool you. Juice, after being squeezed from different fruits, is kept in huge vacuum-sealed tanks where it can sit for up to a year before being packaged! And by that time, the juice has lost all its flavor, which is why manufacturers have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste fruity again. In most cases, cereals are loaded with refined carbohydrates and sugar. Even if the label assures you that it's fat-free and whole grain, check the list of ingredients. You'll most likely see that the product is full of sugar. Despite common belief, most yogurts don't contain probiotic bacteria since the process of pasteurization kills all these microorganisms. When consumed, trans-fats in ice-cream can cause high cholesterol, stroke, heart disease, and even cancer. Ice cream is also loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives. And if it’s pink, purple, or red, it’s most likely been colored with cochineal extract or carmine, additives which can cause bad allergic reactions. Popcorn has some genetically modified ingredients as well as taste-boosting chemicals and additives. This leads to health problems such as heart attacks, digestive issues, allergies, skin rashes, breathing problems, and the depressing list goes on. Even more, popcorn is extremely caloric. Music: Vibe Mountain - Great Hope The 126ers - Reversed Eclipse Rondo Brothers - Yellow Gold Kevin MacLeod - Jay Jay Silent Partner - Pink Lemonade https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Fruit juices 0:37 Energy bars 1:42 Cereal 2:31 Margarine 3:21 Low-fat yogurt 4:11 Ice cream 5:01 Eggs 6:07 Microwave popcorn 7:09 Sugar-free candy 8:32 Diet soda 9:26 SUMMARY -Store-bought juices may contain some real fruit, but most of their content is water, sugar, and artificial flavoring. -Protein bars and energy bars alike are usually processed products containing sugar, artificial flavors and sweeteners. -Breakfast cereals typically contain a teeny tiny amount of whole grains, which allows producers to mark their product as healthy, but they also contain unhealthy sugar. -Margarine is typically made from industrial vegetable oils hydrogenated to become solid, a process that significantly increases the oils’ trans-fat content. -Manufacturers load “low-fat” yogurts with sugar to make up for the lack of taste usually provided by the natural fats. -Instead of pure milk or cream, manufacturers use cheaper hydrogenated fats such as palm- or coconut oil to produce ice-cream. These oils, when heated, become nothing more than trans-fats. -One egg contains as much cholesterol as a big greasy burger. -Microwave popcorn’s almost always lined with the same toxic substance you can find in Teflon pans. -If candy doesn’t contain sugar, it contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharine. These substances are chemically processed and may cause some serious side effects. -Artificial sweeteners in diet soda can easily lead to weight gain as they trigger the production of insulin, which makes your body store fat. What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Music: Mint Chocolate 2a - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Your skin will look better. 0:51 Your muscles will get much-needed protein. 1:48 You’ll get a boost of antioxidants. 2:31 You'll be full of energy. 3:19 You'll lose weight. 4:19 Your cholesterol will decrease. 5:00 You'll have a lower risk of developing heart disease. 5:40 You'll get rid of digestive problems. 6:00 Oatmeal recipes: Apple pie oatmeal 6:50 Oatmeal raisin cookies 7:43 Almond butter-banana oatmeal 8:55 SUMMARY -Oatmeal is ideal for treating inflammatory conditions, like eczema, dermatitis, and skin rashes. It also promotes healthy skin overall. -One serving, or about half a cup, of oatmeal gives your body 15% of the recommended daily amount of protein. Don’t forget about vitamin E, antioxidants, and glutamine, which help muscle fibers regenerate faster. -Oats are rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. -Oatmeal is full of carbohydrates that give your body the energy it needs. -Beta-glucan in oats keeps you from overeating by helping you feel fuller for a longer amount of time and promoting the release of a satiety hormone. -The linoleic acid and soluble fiber contained in oatmeal helps lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. -Oats are rich in good healthy fats and support the cells in the heart and circulatory system. -Experts recommend getting at least 25-38 grams of dietary fiber every day since it’s ideal for good digestion. -Try apple pie oatmeal to boost your metabolism. You’ll need oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, a large apple and apple sauce to cook it. -The ingredients you’ll need for oatmeal raisin cookies are flour, sea salt, baking soda, butter, an egg, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apple sauce and fast-cooking oats. -To cook almond butter-banana oatmeal, you’ll need oatmeal, milk, almond butter, honey and a banana. I found articles saying that eating dessert first is good
I found articles saying that eating dessert first is good. What's the real story. Chef Marcus Guiliano is an award-winning chef, green restaurateur, real food activist, professional speaker, restaurant consultant & ultra-marathoner. Devoting his career to a whole food, whole life approach, Chef Marcus has coined the phrase Eco-Lectic Cuisine. The notion behind Eco-Lectic Cuisine is how Chef Marcus marries healthy food with ethically and socially responsible sustainable business practices. Marcus is often heard saying, “It's the whole picture that matters." Chef Marcus had to overcome a handful of health challenges in the late 90s. He was able to eliminate all of the medications he was taking and in the transition cure an asthmatic condition he had from birth. After overcoming his various health challenges, Chef Marcus was invited to contribute over 200 recipes to several Dr. Gary Null's books. In addition to successfully owning and operating the first Green Certified restaurant in the Hudson Valley, Aroma Thyme Bistro, Chef Marcus has begun to devote his time consulting and trouble shooting for other restaurants. His master consulting project is www.50mistakes.com: an free online cyber coaching tool for applicable to all businesses, not just restaurants. Garnering his passion for clean, sustainable, healthy food choices, Chef Marcus has launched other activist/watchdog oriented sites including: NoFarmedSalmon.com, ChefonaMission.com & the controversial FoodFraudTV.com. On FoodFraudTV.com , Chef Marcus has called out fellow chefs for not being honest to their patrons on their menus. Chef Marcus has a rather large following on YouTube and his videos can be found under the moniker: MarcusG.tv. Chef Marcus has been featured on CNN, Dr OZ, New York Post, New York Times, TEDx Longdock, Best Chef's America, Sierra Club Magazine, Huffington Post, International Wine Masters, Bottom Line Publications, Smithsonian (Online) and Organic Spa Magazine. The Colorado Dept of Agriculture stated, “Marcus Guiliano is the Willie Nelson of Farm to Table”. Recently, OneGreenPlanet.com named Chef Marcus as one of The “5 Food Activists Helping To Make Big Changes."  Most days Chef Marcus can be found pursing his passion of food at his restaurant Aroma Thyme Bistro or on pursuing his passion for running on one of the many country roads and trails surrounding his restaurant. In her books she talks about how the first year of a child’s life is one of the most important times that they are effected by food. Food is what makes us feel safe and loved, it’s our comfort. We turn to food when we’ve had a bad day and it reminds us of our childhood and unconditional love. Most of her clients that she works with today is how to change the comfort food they want. She shares alternatives to candy, meat, ice cream and more on wonderful nutritional replacements that are good for you. She notices how we need to stop gulping stuff down and sit down and savor our food. She also describes what Electrolytes are how salt is more valuable than gold. Our bodies need salt and she shares how white salt has all the electrolytes taken out of it and added with high fructose corn syrup and iodine added to it. Our body reads white salt as a poison. Real salt is unrefined mineral rich salt which adults should have at least 1 teaspoon a day so our bodies could function. She also informs how important salt was during wars and in our history and how important these minerals are in our body. She recommends Bolivian Rose Sea Salt which she uses daily and carries with her. She gargles it with water and drinks it, which keeps her hydrated and her body healthy. HALLOWEEN DECOR IDEAS When I was a little girl, my dad had a couple of these cute ghosts on our piano during Halloween. I remember thinking they really floated not knowing that it was starch that held them up. This year, I decided it was time to make some for my friends to experience. I used liquid starch, which is kind of hard to come by. Plus, it’s a lot of money to spend on a ghost or two. So, I found a better and cheaper way to make these. Here’s what you need: Cheesecloth (I just found mine in the baking section of the grocery store and it was about $3. I used the whole package for one ghost. I cut it in half and used 2 layers to make it sturdier) Black felt Cornstarch Water Any kind of “make-shift” stand to support the cheesecloth while it dries out. First, you start by making homemade liquid starch. Pour 2 cups of water into a microwave safe container. Then, add one cup of cornstarch and mix it really well. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in-between, until it gets thick. Mine took about 2 minutes total. This is kind of what you’re going for: Set that aside and let it cool off a little bit. You don’t want it to get cold, though. Meanwhile, set up your “make-shift” stand. You can use cups, balloons, Styrofoam balls. Whatever you can find to make the right shape and size. You just want to make sure you can pull it out from under the cheesecloth once it’s dry. Balloons are nice because you can pop them. I didn’t have any balloons on hand, so here’s what I used: I put some freezer paper on the table so that the ghost would have something to sit on (besides the table) while it dried. Next, I cut the cheesecloth in half. I wanted to make my ghost a little sturdier. Coat each piece of cheesecloth with the cornstarch. It took a little bit of working it in. You want to make sure it is completely coated. Drape the pieces of cheesecloth one at a time over your make-shift stand and make sure you arrange it how you want it. Once it’s dry, you can’t really change anything. Once you’ve got it perfect, allow it to completely dry. Mine took overnight. When it’s stiff, carefully remove the cheesecloth from the mold and glue on two felt eyes. It’s really hard to capture on camera, but the ghost is completely see-through and looks like it’s just floating! Review: Dr Mercola's book FAT FOR FUEL, by Ford Brewer MD
Please watch: "(905) Mitochondria: Central Role in Aging 2018 (and how to reverse it)( warning - geeky)- FORD BREWER " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTKM0Lh078A --~-- Join the PrevMed Community: https://mailchi.mp/1224fb9e00e7/prevmed_community If you are interested in ordering a copy of "Fat for Fuel" by Dr. Joseph Mercola, please click on our affiliate link: https://amzn.to/2Rb1AyT Dr. Joseph Mercola's book "FAT FOR FUEL" is a fun book with a lot of information. It reflects a large change in our culture around diet, from low fat to high fat. This is not new. TIME magazine featured cover articles on Ancel Keys in 1961. He was the driving force behind the decades-long low-fat diet culture. In 2014, TIME featured a cover article on eating butter for health. Dr. Mercola recommended a dietary fat content of 70-80% of calories. The bottom line is that this type of diet can be dangerous to the 1 in 5 individuals with Apoe4 genetic components. It would increase risk for heart attack, stroke, and especially senility. The book mentions a resource focusing on one of the key areas of longevity research. It is an academic article title RECONSIDERING THE ROLE OF MITOCHONDRIA IN AGING. The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. And the new, deep science of longevity continues to circle around cellular respiration; how the cell burns food fuel to get energy. Valter Longo is approaching this through fasting, especially mimicked fasting. Nir Barzilai is approaching these same genetic and metabolic pathways using Metformin. Common genetics and metabolic pathways in this area include AMPK, MTOR, rapamycin, and FOXO3. David Sinclair is another world class researcher in the new field of longevity, genetics and metabolism. He discovered resveratrol. He's also focused on the mitochondria. Earlier this year he discovered NMN, which could become a practical version of a resveratrol-type amplifier. I have a patient who, like me, ate plant-based for decades. Now she's finding that carbs are a problem for her family, with more than 1 insulin-resistant individuals. So she's working to cut the carbs. Before she got too far in this area, we discovered she has Apoe4/3. If she went high fat, she'd greatly increase her risk for heart attack stroke and especially senility. Meanwhile, too much protein in the diet could cause significant problems for another family member with kidney problems. It's always something, isn't it? Yes, but that's not a valid reason for giving up. Our life and health is important. We should protect it. And we can. But we have to know the facts first. About Dr. Brewer - Ford Brewer is a physician that started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many patients coming in dead from early heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. He went on the run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine at Hopkins. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has over 500 primary care/ prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack, stroke, and diabetes prevention clinic. Take Fish Oil Every Day for 20 Days, See How Your Body Changes
What are the benefits of fish oil? This is really miracle product that’ll make us feel and look better on the inside and out. This stuff will transform your body completely! But how? And what’s the right amount to take? If you’re ready for all the answers you need, watch our new video! TIMESTAMPS: Decreased risk of heart disease 1:27 Clearer thinking 2:18 Stronger immunity 3:06 Better stamina 3:54 Improved joint health 4:36 Faster muscle recovery after workouts 5:22 Less stress and a better mood 6:18 Decreased eye pressure 7:00 An additional source of vitamins and minerals 7:47 Smooth radiant skin 8:30 Weight loss 9:31 Bigger breasts 10:16 How exactly you can consume fish oil 10:50 #fishoilbenefits #weightloss Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in fish oil decrease the risk of developing heart disease. And that’s because these acids drop the level of triglycerides, which contribute to high blood pressure caused by plaque build-up in the arteries. - Fish oil is sometimes even prescribed to children with attention disorders, like ADD or ADHD, to help them focus and think clearly! - Fish oil doesn't just work on each organ, like your brain or heart, individually; it protects your whole entire system by improving your immunity. It’s all got to do with the polyunsaturated acids contained in omega-3. - When you take fish oil regularly, your body starts to use the fat during long workouts, saving your glycogen stores for more difficult exercises. This process basically increases the time an athlete can do physical activity. - Fish oil can be quite effective at relieving and preventing joint pain. Of course, it won't heal your arthritis completely, but it can stop your joint problems from getting worse. - Fish oil is great for fighting depression! There’s even research out there suggesting that it can have a positive influence on people with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. - Additional sources of omega-3 acids can prevent eye problems. But don't think of it as a full-fledged cure; it's just one of the effective ways to keep your eyes healthy. - Vitamins A and D will help you get rid of brittle hair and allow your body to better absorb other necessary minerals like calcium and phosphorus. - Over time, we lose collagen due to aging and constant stress. Luckily, omega-3 acids store collagen, helping your skin stay young and fresh. - Research conducted at the University of South Australia found that regular consumption of fish oil decreases the appetite and extends that “full” feeling you have in your stomach after eating. - If you’re looking to increase your cup size, there are some other foods you can try too, like olive oil, dry beans, tofu, and seaweed, to name a few. - Choose fish oil made from the meat and muscle of the fish; it'll be way more gentle on your system. As for consumption, the best way to go is to take a supplement while eating or right after. More Dangerous than GMO's! ~ BioEngineered NanoFoods ~ but Shhh It's a Secret!
For over 15 years dangerous and deadly bioengineered NanoFood has been taken over our commercial and corporate food supplies. Unregualted, untested, Nanotechnology was a $One Trillion dollar market in 2014 while Engineered NanoFoods was said to be at $5.8 Billion in 2012. The nanotechnology in foods has been found in studies to cause entry into the tissue, blood and brains due to its subatomic particle size. In rats it was found to enter lungs, liver, kidney and spleen as reactions at the nano size cause unknown reactions due to their incredibly small size. Shelf life extension on beer, milk, etc. taste bud alterators that trick taste buds, biochps in the food and soil with rfid antennas to track food inside your body as well many sensors in biosolids (waste) used as fertilizer are just some of the applications. The USDA/FDA/WHO are silent as to any oversite and strictly are action as advisors as corporate instituions work hard to keep the public uninformed. The few industry polls taken show a whopping 75% are grossly and completely uninformed while only 7% said they had fairly good knowledge on this most critical silent invasion into our food supplies. Another huge wake up call. Know a farmer, grown your own. Send this around. (Correction: At 29:30 I meant to say %75 instead of %85.)
