Java String - Explained | String Tutorial in Java | Java9s.com

05:08
http://java9s.com String is the most widely used object type in Java. Because of this, String Objects enjoy some extra privilege from JVM Just like any other object, we can use a new operator to create a String. There are around thirteen different constructors provided by String class. We can just use the quotes to create a String object. Remember that all the strings in Java are maintained as a character array in the background. String object wraps this array and provides some additional functionality to edit, search and work with text. All string objects are maintained in a separate heap called String constant pool. String class is declared as final which makes it not possible to be extended. String Buffer and String Builder - Explained | Java9s.com

09:38
http://java9s.com StringBuffer and StringBuilder objects are useful when we need to frequently append content or modify the content which are as Strings. Because Strings are immutable, every modification will endup creating new String objects which will overload the Memory. So, when you need to modify the String, it is better to use String Buffer or String Builder. In this video, i have explained the differences between the String Buffer and String Builder and demonstrated with an example how they behave. Quickstart: Getting Started with Oracle and .NET

08:56
New to Oracle and .NET development? This video gives you everything you need to know to get up and running quickly! We walk you through downloading and installing the needed Oracle software and then connecting in Visual Studio and creating a simple C# application. The video starts at the Oracle .NET Developer Technology Center website at http://otn.oracle.com/dotnet We then download the "ODTwithODAC" package, extract it and run the installer. Note that ODAC version 12 works with Oracle Database versions 10.2 or higher. After installing we connect in Server Explorer and learn about the connection dialog features, including the Filters tab which by default filters out additional schemas you may have privileges on. We connect to the database using the easy to use EZ connect format. Finally we create a simple C# application and connect to the database using ODP.NET Managed driver and a EZ Config connect string. Prerequisites: 1) Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 -- any edition except Express Edition. Visual Studio Community Edition is supported. 2) An Oracle Database to connect to. You will need to know the hostname, port number and service name of the database. During the video we install: Oracle Data Provider for .NET Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio Oracle .NET Samples Oracle .NET Documentation

How to use BigInteger in java? - Codechef

14:11
The video is about the BigInteger class in Java. Operations that can be performed, what immutability is and how to use it the class in a programming contest. Use BigIntegers when you need massive calculations and operations to be made(on massive integers). Some guarantees and quirks are discussed here, which should be enough to get you started coding. Detailed descriptions in the JavaDoc are to be used when looking for further clarity. The class is a lifesaver when we need to multiply and modulo large numbers in coding contests, as shown in the video for the Codechef problem: Factorial 2. Codechef contest problem: https://www.codechef.com/problems/FCTRL2 Solution: https://github.com/gkcs/ChainReaction/blob/master/src/main/java/main/java/videos/IntegerOperations.java Documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/math/BigInteger.html

What is StringBuilder in Java?

16:23
We talk about operations that we can perform on a StringBuilder and why you might use it instead of a string. We then solve the codechef problem TAEDITOR using this class. Use StringBuilders when you are not worried about concurrency, and want to make lots of modifications on the given string. Strings in java are inherently immutable, so every time you make a change, new objects have to be created. To make this more efficient, we use StringBuilders and StringBuffers which allow modifications without new object creation. Problem Statement: https://www.codechef.com/problems/TAEDITOR Solution: https://github.com/gkcs/ChainReaction/blob/master/src/main/java/main/java/videos/StringManipulations.java Documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/lang/StringBuilder.html

Today we will discuss about How to connect to Oracle database and fetch employees list using Bot in Blueprism --------------------------------------------------------- Let me create a Process and open it Now the Process is created. Using OLEDB VBO will connect to Oracle database 1. Check in your system database is existed or not. Let me check once Here is my Oracle XE database browser window I connect to HR schema, because My employee data is existed here select * from employees Here the query to retrive employees data. 2. Drag the Action stage into the process and choose the Data - OLEDB and choose Set Connection We have three parameters to pass 1. Database - Here I have the database details let me show you how the structure is: (DESCRIPTION=(CID=GTU_APP)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=XE)(SERVER=DEDICATED))); User Id=hr;Password=hr; Here, (HOST=localhost) is refered to localmachine (PORT=1521) port for your oracle database (SID=XE) name of the database User Id=hr;Password=hr - username and password for HR Schema provide this whole content in double quotes 2. Second parameter is password, as we already mentioned the password in first parameter. We just simply skip it. 3. Third parameter is Provider For Oracle database the provider is : OraOLEDB.Oracle Mention in double quotes 4. Database connection establised. 5. Now open the connection to access data 6. Query the data to retrive from database For this use Get Collection 7. Create the ouput varible there itself 8. Finally close connection 9. Link All the stages and run it 10. Here you can see employees data

Java 9 Makes Creating Collections easy

Java 9 made it really easy for us to create collections that contain a small number of elements. For a long time Java has had a bad rep for being too verbose, and rightfully so but with the last few releases I think they have really started to address that. Java Random Tutorial (Math.random() vs Random Class nextInt() nextDouble() )

04:26
GitHub repo with examples https://github.com/SleekPanther/java-math-improved-random Random numbers are a common part of many programs and games. (Yeah I know they're not truly "random" but pesudorandom numbers are the best computer can do) There are 2 main ways: Using a static method of the built-in Math class, or creating a Random object & calling methods on that object ➣Math.random() -The "Math" class is built-in (no need to import) so calling "Math.random()" gives you a double from 0 to 1 -Not very useful on its own, but the result it can be multiplied to give a "range" of number -"Math.random()*10" gives a range of 10 so 0 through 9.99999 -The upper bound is always excluded so you'd need to add 1 to get an inclusive range -"(int)(Math.random()*10)" casts the result to an integer -or replace "(int)" with "Math.round()" or "Math.floor()" -You can also change the lower bound by adding a number to the end: (int)(Math.random()*10)+10 yields numbers from 10 to 19 (20 is excluded) int min = 5; int max = 15; int range = max - min +1; -Range must be 1 greater than the range you want since the upper bound will always be excluded (int)(Math.random()*range ) +min -This will give you the desired result -Negative values for min & max still work as long as you still add 1 to the range -Getting decimals just involves removing the (int) casting -You might want to round off the numbers to only display a few decimals ➣Random class -Random generator = new Random(); -Creates a new Random object with reference variable "generator" -don't forget to "import java.util.Random;" -You can now use the formula like this: (int)(generator .nextDouble()*range ) +min -Unfortunately nextDouble() can't accept parameters so you basically just use it like Math.random() -generator.nextInt() give you an integer in the range negative 2 billion to positive 2 billion -But you can also use get an integer in a specific range -generator.nextInt(5) yields numbers 0 to 4 (5 is excluded) -The formula can now be used like this -generator.nextInt(range) + min; Details on Random https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/util/Random.html Editor I used (Eclipse) https://eclipse.org/downloads/
