JAKARTA, Indonesia Highlights | Travel Vlog

06:05
I just spent a week in Jakarta, the huge capital of Indonesia. Aside from working, here is everything I got up to. I stayed at an Airbnb which was close to Grand Indonesia mall so I went there quite often, one night to watch the sunset from the Skye Bar. I saw Monas, went inside the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest in Southeast Asia, saw the Old Town and spent a day at the Taman Mini park. Despite initial challenges I had a good time. Please thumbs up, leave me a comment and subscribe for more of my travel blog adventures around the world! Indonesian Street Food Tour of Glodok (Chinatown) in Jakarta - DELICIOUS Indonesia Food!

22:34
►Check out 50 of the Best Indonesian Dishes: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ Glodok is the Chinatown of Jakarta, and my wife and I decided to spend the day walking around Glodok and exploring some Indonesian street food throughout the day. At the end of the day, we also stopped by Fatahillah Square, with is an old Dutch square in colonial Jakarta, where you'll find some interesting buildings and some street food snacks as well. Since we were staying at a hotel (here’s information on the hotel I stayed at:https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/jakarta-indonesia/) not too far from Glodok, we decided to beat the traffic and just walk over there. It didn’t take more than 15 minutes to walk, and soon we arrived in Jakarta’s Chinatown. Glodok is a very interesting area to walk around and explore. There are fresh markets and plenty of restaurants and food to choose from. The Indonesian street food I tried on this tour was siomay, an Indonesian Chinese dish. From the back of a motorbike, I chose a few of the siomay dumplings he had steaming, and the cut them up and added some peanut sauce to the plate. The texture was a little mushy, but they were alright. Right opposite the siomay, the owner of an Indonesian vegetarian restaurant greeted me and asked if I might like to eat some of his vegetarian food. His vegetarian rendang was particularly good. One of the most famous places to go in Glodok is Kopi Es Tak Kie, a legendary coffee shop. After wandering around a while we found it. I had a cup of coffee and also a plate of nasi campur from outside the shop. We continued on our Indonesian street food tour throughout Glodok and I tried a sweet snack called kue ape, which is a green colored little pancake. Next, I had a variety of deep fried snacks including fried bananas, and fried breadfruit. They are definitely pretty greasy, but interesting to sample, and they are very popular street food snacks in Indonesia. It probably wasn’t the greatest idea to walk, but we decided to walk over to Fatahillah Square. The traffic was pretty intense, but we made it. And along with checking out the old colonial buildings one of my main goals was to try kerak telor, which is a traditional Indonesian Betawi street food snack. Luckily I found it and it turned out to be a very interesting and amazing snack to watch being made! Here’s the list of the things we ate and the prices: Siomay - 15,000 IDR ($1.11) Vegetarian food - 20,000 IDR ($1.48) Kopi Es Tak Kie - 10,000 IDR ($0.73) Nasi campur - 35,000 IDR ($2.58) Kue ape - 1,000 IDR ($0.07) each Fried snacks - 12,000 ($0.88) Kerak telor - 20,000 IDR ($1.48) - Possibly overcharged? Do you think? Hope you enjoyed the Indonesian street food tour of Glodok and Fatahillah Square, I sure enjoyed eating it! -- MY WEBSITES: Camera I use: https://migrationology.com/travel-resources/ T-shirts: https://migrationology.com/store/ Migrationology.com: http://migrationology.com/ EatingThaiFood.com: http://eatingthaifood.com/ TravelByYing.com: http://travelbyying.com/ SOCIAL MEDIA: Snapchat: @migrationology Instagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology ►Jakarta Travel Guide: https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/jakarta-indonesia/ ►50 of the Best Indonesian Dishes: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ --

Please support this channel by not skipping the ads. Thank you! :) I am back home in Jakarta, for a while. This is my very first proper introduction video as to how Jakarta is really like, including, of course Jakarta's street food. I also took you along with me trying Indonesia's tuk tuk (bajaj), be inside of a Istiqlal mosque, as well as Jakarta's neo-gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral. I finished the day by eating some of my comfort food; sate ayam as well as pempek. It was a fun day strolling around Pasar Baru in Jakarta. -PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/syifaadriana -PAYPAL: https://www.paypal.me/asyifaadriana -INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/syifaadriana -EMAIL: [email protected] -FREE $40 AIR-BNB CREDIT: https://www.airbnb.com.sg/c/aadriana6 -BOOK ACCOMMODATION: https://www.booking.com/s/56_6/syifaa63 -HOW I ACCESS YOUTUBE IN CHINA: http://www.linkev.com/?a_fid=syifaadriana // ABOUT ME -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi there! I am Anissa Syifa Adriana, otherwise known as Syifa. I am a conversation connoisseur, Indonesian female solo traveler and make-up enthusiast. I started my first solo traveling in June 2014, a coincidence trip, where it was intended for someone I was very close to in the past. I never regret deciding to go because after that, I never look back. I decided to leave Indonesia since August 2016, to do a long-term traveling. After being on the road for about 5 months, in January 2017 I was offered to teach English in Yinchuan, Northwest China. Instead of going back home, at that time I went straight to China from Vietnam carrying only the remaining USD 300 that I had in my bank account. Arrived in China for the first time, everything felt so intimidating and foreign at the same time. Since then, I was based in Yinchuan, Northwest China and had been loving it. As of now, I am back on the road again to travel and make videos on Youtube. Thank you again for watching! I hope you get to enjoy the video as much as I am making it. Let's keep it positive. Late last year, the Converse CONS Asia team embarked on the Garuda tour, a skate trip trough Indonesia hitting cities like Bandung, Jakarta and Makassar City. Absar Lebeh, Geng Jakkarin, Jeff Gonzales, Lert Saeri and Tao Kitpullap battled Indonesia’s heat, insane traffic and tropical rain to come up with this edit. They had a blast discovering Indonesia, its spots, culture and ripping local scene. Travelling Bali on Tour: Travel Vlog with Sam&Laura

09:08
If you’re dreaming about experiencing Bali for yourself, but haven’t quite been able to make it to this gorgeous country yet, we’ve got the next best thing. Join TourRadar’s Sam and Laura as they tour Bali with Wanderlands Travel! First stop: Uluwatu Temple. Bali is home to many Hindu temples, as over 80% of Bali’s population practises this religion. Meaning “edge of the cliff,” Uluwatu Temple honours the gods of the sea and dates back to before the 11th century, sitting magnificently above the Indian Ocean. Here, you’ll find the temple’s inhabitants: macaque monkeys! Keep an eye on your phone - these monkeys are famous for stealing valuables and only returning them in exchange for the right snack. It’s lucky Sam and Laura found their zen at Uluwatu Temple, because they’ll need that balance for their next stop! Kuta Beach is a great surfing destination. Not a surfer? No worries! Sam and Laura were treated to a lesson through their tour, and they were experts before they could say “hang ten.” Need a pick me up after all that adventure? Join Sam and Laura as they visit a coffee plantation in Ubud. Learn about the process of harvesting and roasting the beans, as well as producing the drink that millions of people drink every day. Of course, a trip to Bali wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a rice terrace! Enjoy the stunning views of these iconic fields, and, if you’re lucky like Sam and Laura, get up close and personal with the harvesting process. Owned by local farmers, there’s no better way to experience Bali’s local culture. Sam and Laura may have a packed schedule, but the adventures to be had in Bali are never-ending! Join them in the Ubud Monkey Forest - just don’t make the same mistake as Sam, and look a thieving monkey in the eye! - the night markets, and The Gili Islands. Sam and Laura truly take in island life: snorkeling in the ocean (and spotting a sea turtle!), drinking from coconuts on the beach, and watching the sunset. If Sam and Laura’s adventure has convinced you you need to book a tour of your own to Bali, we don’t blame you! Check out what TourRadar has to offer, and start planning your own dream trip today. 🤟 Find your tour through Indonesia: https://www.tourradar.com/d/Indonesia?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Travelling+Bali+on+Tour:+Travel+Vlog+with+Sam&Laura+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description ℹ️ Learn more about Indonesia: https://www.tourradar.com/travel-guide/Indonesia?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Travelling+Bali+on+Tour:+Travel+Vlog+with+Sam&Laura+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description 🎬 Watch another video: "Tour Bali in 8 Days with Wanderlands Travel": https://youtu.be/-VBh7TnZG9c 📚 Visit us on Days to Come: "Where to Stay in Bali: From Bungalows to Villas and More": https://www.tourradar.com/days-to-come/where-to-stay-bali-bungalows-villas/?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Travelling+Bali+on+Tour:+Travel+Vlog+with+Sam&Laura+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description ✌️ Subscribe for more travel tips & inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/user/tourradar?sub_confirmation=1 🌍 #gotouring with TourRadar: https://www.tourradar.com ----------------------------------------------- 👫 Let’s get social! Between the food, the scenery, and the adventure, you’d be hard pressed to find something not to like about this beautiful island! If you’ve always wanted to visit Bali, but you don’t know where to start (or if you already know it like the back of your hand, but it’s calling your name once more!), our guide to spending 8 days in Bali just may be perfect for you. This 8-day tour from Wanderlands Travel is perfect for explorers looking to cover as much of Bali as possible, while still enjoying chances to stop and smell the coffee - literally! Start your adventure at one of Bali’s famous beaches, Kuta Beach. Surfing, drinking from coconuts, and beachside sports? Sign us up. Of course, you can’t fully enjoy Bali until you’ve experienced its more cultural side. Step into Uluwatu Temple, an 11th-century seaside shrine home to statues, history, and monkeys. Immerse yourself in Balinese culture, and learn more about Hinduism, the island’s main religion. Next, travellers find themselves engrossed in two quintessential experiences: haggling in Ubud’s markets, and touring a traditional rice terrace. Enjoy shopping for food and souvenirs in a bustling night market, and then calm things down, with tours of rice and coffee plantations. Just make sure you enjoy the samples! The last stop on this picture-perfect tour of Bali is the Gili Islands. Three small islands off of Bali, there are few other places in the world where island life is as fun, relaxing, and beautiful. Enjoy a day in each: cycle through gorgeous nature, go snorkelling and spot sea turtles, or just relax on the beach. What’s island life if you can’t choose your own adventure, right? Speaking of choosing your own adventure, we bet choosing Bali for your next one sounds pretty tempting right now. Why not start planning? You can be on the beach before you know it. 🤟 Find your tour through Indonesia: https://www.tourradar.com/d/Indonesia?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Tour+Bali+in+8+Days+with+Wanderlands+Travel+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description ℹ️ Learn more about Indonesia: https://www.tourradar.com/travel-guide/Indonesia?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Tour+Bali+in+8+Days+with+Wanderlands+Travel+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description 🎬 Watch another video: "Travelling Bali on Tour: Travel Vlog with Sam&Laura": https://youtu.be/VJ0N2dZjhxs 📚 Visit us on Days to Come: "Bali In 9 Spectacular Images": https://www.tourradar.com/days-to-come/bali-summed-10-spectacular-images/?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Tour+Bali+in+8+Days+with+Wanderlands+Travel+UL1913&utm_content=YT+Description ✌️ Subscribe for more travel tips & inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/user/tourradar?sub_confirmation=1 🌍 #gotouring with TourRadar: https://www.tourradar.com ----------------------------------------------- 👫 Let’s get social! Bali is an Indonesian street food lovers paradise! SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week► http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts► https://migrationology.com/store/ Special thank you to Made for driving us around! Bali is an amazing place to eat - there are so many incredible dishes, and the unique Balinese culture paired with the food is what makes it so special. In this Indonesian street food tour of Bali, I’m taking you to 6 street food stalls / restaurants in a row, for serious food lovers! Warung Nasi Bali Men Weti - Some consider this legendary stall, right along the ocean to be the best Balinese local street food spot in Denpasar, Bali, and after eating it, there’s absolutely no room for argument. The plate of food you’ll be served is nothing short of spectacular, full of Balinese flavor. Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83) per plate Warung Mak Beng - Known for their fried fish set, Warung Mak Beng is another legendary Balinese restaurant. Their fish was amazing, both the fish head soup and the fried fish, and not forgetting their amazing sambal. Another must eat when you’re in Bali. Price - 45,000 IDR ($3.29) per set Sate Plecing Arjuna - This is a place you come to eat sate plecing, a type of Indonesian street food sate that’s covered in a shrimp paste chili sambal. They were incredibly delicious as well, especially the samel. Total price - 68,000 IDR ($4.98) Sate Babi Bawah Pohon - In Bali, pork is very common, and this is probably one of the most well known Indonesian street food stalls in all of Bali. For me the pork sate was a little on the sweet side, however it was still pretty tasty. Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83) Babi Guling Pak Dobiel - When it comes to Balinese food, there’s nothing more famous to try than babi guling, Balinese style roast pig served with all the side dishes. It’s spectacular combination and you’ll find dozens of restaurants serving babi guling. In this Balinese food tour I went to Babi Guling Pak Dobiel, and it’s the best plate of babi guling I had in Bali. Total price - 100,000 IDR ($7.32) for 2 Warung Kintamani - Ubud - Finally, to finish off this Balinese food tour, we headed back to Ubud and Made, took me to eat mujair nyatnyat, tilapia in a curry sauce. ঘুরে আসুন বালি (পর্ব-১) | Bali Tour 2017 (Episode-01) Host: Asrar Ahmed Video By: Sohel Afgani RaNA Some Scenes Repeated Admin & Videographer: Sohel Afgani RaNA Contact: [email protected] FB: facebook.com/afgani.rana FAQ: How much it may cost for return flight from Dhaka to Bali? - Mostly near around 30 thousand per head for return air. Some time discount happens (we got discount from Malindo Air & return cost was only 22k that time). How much travel may cost in Bali per day? - Per Day Hotels you will get within BDT 1500 to 2000 (20 USD) for 2 person 1 room. Food per day per head may cost 1000 BDT (10 USD). Other per day per head may cost 1000 BDT too (local trip transport, entrance or other ticket etc.). So, in average, better you keep per day expense 4000 BDT (around 50 USD). It will be enough. Now you plan, how many days you want to stay in Bali/Gili. AIR We visited Bali by getting a discount in Malindo Air @ 22k BDT per head return air. Offer not valid now. A transit was there in Kuala Lumpur. HOTEL You must choose a hotel in Kuta Square @ Bali. GPS: https://goo.gl/maps/h5N8HqP7rpv I was there for 10 days and I tried different hotels. All booked by Agoda using credit card from BD. Take one room for 2 person only. Here is my ranking for my hotels: 1. Suris Boutique Hotel (Nice Pool View Room, Free Buffet Breakfast, Nice Swimming Pool, But 5min Walking Distance from Kuta Sea Beach) @ 2000+ BDT Per Day: https://www.agoda.com/suris-boutique-hotel/hotel/bali-id.html 2. Hotel Karthi (Big Pool, 2min Walk to Kuta Sea Beach, Free Buffet Breakfast, General Room) @ 2000 BDT https://www.agoda.com/hotel-karthi/hotel/bali-id.html 3. The Oasis Kuta Hotel (Big Pool, Nice Room, 2min Walk to Kuta Sea Beach, Narrow Entrance) @ 2000 BDT https://www.agoda.com/the-oasis-kuta-hotel/hotel/bali-id.html SIGHT SEEING Book a car from your hotel (more safe) or from a car service provider. Maximum 2 half days (9am to 4pm) car trip is enough to cover all. must visit: Tegenungan Water Fall (Keep Swimming Dresses with you, nice place to enjoy water fall) Mount Batur Volcano (Have a Mango Drink There @ 200 BDT Only, Buffet Lunch is expensive there) Ubud Rice Field (Do Lunch Here, It's Cheap & Great View too) Uluwatu Temple (Amazing Sea & Hill View) & Must Try Nearest Padang Padang Hidden Sea Beach too. You may swimm there in clear water. FOODS Try international chain foods like KFC/McD/Burger King/A&W etc. Cheap enough. Per Head may cost 300 BDT per meal. Mostly halal. Very expensive, if you are planning Indian Foods (available near Kuta Square). Per Head may cost 500 to 800 BDT per meal. GILI Our BTF team was in Bali for only 5 days. Within this time, stay Gili for one day only (go today morning, come back tomm morning). That will be fine. Book fast boat including up down transport from hotel to port (it is in far). Must book return fast boat ticket all together. Talk to your hotel (more safe) or try outside to book. Foods are cheap in Gili. Must try night market & sea food. It is a small island, no cars, only horse ride and by-cycles. Try it. Do not miss to hire a group boat ride to enjoy under water activities (make sure life jacket and safety). Indonesia Travel: Jakarta Day Tour: THOUSAND ISLANDS!

13:39
A visit to Indonesia and Jakarta should also include a trip to any of the islands on Thousand Islands. The original plan was to visit Putri Island, but I got sea sick and had to stop on the first island from Jakarta called Pari, where only local Indonesian tourists go. On this particular day, it seemed like I had the whole island to myself. For the next six hours I enjoyed some jaw dropping beach and mangrove views. I also spent time eating bakso beef noodle soup for the first time, as well as delicious Batagor fried dumpling and tofu. I also snacked on Otak Otak fish cakes. This was such an amazing day. -------------------------------------------------- About Me: I'm Kyle Le and I live, travel, and eat in Vietnam and many Asian countries. It is a way for tourists and interested people to get a look behind the scenes of the big city. How do the poor people live, how do they survive every day - and what could be done to help them. Support our channel: https://www.patreon.com/chasingaplate *********************************************************************** We start our food hunting with one of the best meals we ate during our time in Jogja: sate klathak at Satay Klathak Pak Pong. This restaurant specialises in all things kambing or goat. We eat the satay klathak- goat meat threaded onto bicycle spoke skewers, seasoned lightly with salt and pepper and then cooked over hot charcoal together with tengkleng a traditional stew made up of goat ribs, bones and offal. Finger licking good! We then head for rujak ice cream from a tiny street stall which serves its rujak (local fruit salad) topped with homemade ice cream. Refreshing and sweet- this place is a locals favourite. In the evening we head to a popular noodle spot for Javanese fried noodles. We eat the bakmi godhog campur which is made up of vermicelli, yellow noodles and chicken served in a flavoursome chicken broth as well as the magelangan, a wok tossed concoction made up of both rice and noodles. This is comfort food at its finest. To finish we hunt down a street food stall selling wedang ronde, a local dessert made up of peanut stuffed glutinous rice dumplings, palm fruit, peanuts and tiny cubes of bread in a spicy ginger broth. An epic day of food hunting! Where we ate: Satay Klathak (Bicycle spoke goat skewers) and tengkleng (goat bone stew) at Satay Klathak Pak Pong, Jalan Imogiri Timur Km. 10, Wonokromo, Pleret, Jejeran II, Wonokromo, Pleret, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 55791. Amazing BALI Tour Indonesia Travel Guide 2018

10:44
Amazing BALI Tour Indonesia Travel Guide 2018 Bali, the famed Island of the Gods, with its varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colourful, deeply spiritual and unique culture, stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth. With world-class surfing and diving, a large number of cultural, historical and archaeological attractions, and an enormous range of accommodations, this is one of the world's most popular island destinations and one which consistently wins travel awards. Bali has something to offer a very broad market of visitors from young back-packers right through to the super-rich. Bali is one of more than 17,000 islands in the Indonesian archipelago and is located just over 2 kilometres (almost 1.5 miles) from the eastern tip of the island of Java and west of the island of Lombok. The island, home to about 4 million people, is approximately 144 kilometres (90 mi.) from east to west and 80 kilometres (50 mi.) north to south. The word "paradise" is used a lot in Bali and not without reason. The combination of friendly, hospitable people, a magnificently visual culture infused with spirituality and (not least) spectacular beaches with great surfing and diving have made Bali Indonesia's unrivaled number one tourist attraction. Eighty percent of international visitors to Indonesia visit Bali and Bali alone. The popularity is not without its flip side— like many places in the island's South, once paradisiacal Kuta has degenerated into a congested warren of concrete with touts and scammers extracting a living by overcharging tourists. The island's visibility has also drawn the unwanted attention of terrorists in 2002 and 2005; however Bali has managed to retain its magic. Bali is a wonderful destination with something for everyone, and though heavily travelled, it is still easy to find some peace and quiet if you like. Avoid the South of the island if you want a more traditional and genuine Balinese experience. A consideration is the tourist season and Bali can get very crowded in August and September and again at Christmas and New Year. Australians also visit during school holidays in early April, late June and late September, while domestic tourists from elsewhere in Indonesia visit during national holidays. Outside these peak seasons, Bali can be surprisingly quiet and good discounts on accommodation are often available. Modest dress is expected in Bali. Although bikinis are fine on the beaches and in hotel swimming pools, they are not appropriate while shopping, eating in restaurants. History: The first Hindus arrived in Bali as early as 100 BC, but the unique culture which is so apparent to any current day visitor to Bali hails largely from neighbouring Java, with some influence from Bali's distant animist past. The Javanese Majapahit Empire's rule over Bali became complete in the 14th century when Gajah Mada, Prime Minister of the Javanese king, defeated the Balinese king at Bedulu. Divided among a number of ruling rajas, occasionally battling off invaders from now Islamic Java to the west and making forays to conquer Lombok to the east, the north of the island was finally captured by the Dutch colonialists in a series of brutal wars from 1846 to 1849. Southern Bali was not conquered until 1906, and eastern Bali did not surrender until 1908. In both 1906 and 1908, many Balinese chose death over disgrace and fought en-masse until the bitter end, often walking straight into Dutch cannons and gunfire. Indonesia - A tour on the island of Sumba

15:00
The cultural life of Sumba, a hot, dry island south of Komodo and west Flores is reflected in spectacular rituals, huge megalithic tombs, unusual sharp houses and gorgeous ikats. Sumba has beautiful beaches and rocky highlands which offers nice views but the main attraction of Sumba is still the traditional culture. Much is lost already in this fast changing era. But if you travel to Sumba you can still manage to visit - as you will see in the video - quite some really traditional villages.

Mount Bromo Indonesia travel tour | Mount Bromo Indonesia attracttion destination video Mount Bromo (Indonesian: Gunung Bromo), is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329 metres (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is the most well known. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god. Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the "Sea of Sand" (Javanese: Segara Wedi or Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), a protected nature reserve since 1919. The typical way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 minutes, but it is also possible to take an organised jeep tour, which includes a stop at the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan (2,770 m or 9,088 ft) (Indonesian: Gunung Penanjakan). The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours. From inside the caldera, sulfur is collected by workers. Depending on the degree of volcanic activity, the Indonesian Centre for Vulcanology and Disaster Hazard Mitigation sometimes issues warnings against visiting Mount Bromo.
