Ocean bay completely freezes over for just the third time in 80 years to the amazement of local residents.
It had been said that the entire ocean at Old Silver Beach in Falmouth Massachusetts froze due to Arctic cold. Or as meteorologists call it, an explosive cyclogenesis, or also known as a Bomb Cyclone or Weather bomb.
The first thing to know is that the term bomb cyclone is just a name, it's not a literal bomb.
A weather bomb is a term used to describe a specific low-pressure system, which falls 24 millibars within a 24-hour period.
This process is known as explosive cyclogenesis and sees dry air flow into an area of low pressure.
As a result, this causes the depression within the storm to rise very quickly, and increase its rotation, further deepening the pressure and making the storm even more powerful.
This creates a difference in pressure which, in turn, sees the air rush into the area faster. The faster this temperature drops, the faster the air rushes in. This is how the bomb cyclone came to be.
While the whole or entire ocean, most definitely did not freeze over, the coast area looked like a glacier, and was solid enough to walk on.

i live in Minnesota, USA. we are still ice fishing and still have 24 inches of ice on most lakes and it is the 23rd of april 2018. this is not even close to a record for the latest ice out (open water), look up ice fishing on LOTW. tons of great ice fishing videos
Grand Solar Minimum and pole shift,,,, both at the same time,,, Get educated,,, Whatever the Sun does the Earth follows,,,,we are plunging in to a minimum,,,,,,, How far this cycle takes us down in Temp ,,,, only time will tell,,,, Be safe
Great site with videos explained by scientists,,, Enjoy.
Thanks Owl, yeah it's been going well, good sub numbers, views are much better than anything I have done before, but still a little low. Because this channel does not focus on 1 style or genre of video, like just cars, or planes, or sci fi, or Space etc the subs don't watch every video i load up, because they came & subbed for 1 video but they are not interested in the rest.
But I like this style of random topics, it suits me & my curiosity to pick a topic and do a story on it. But overall I am happy with the progress.
Global temperatures are gradually falling in response to the sun entering a major minimum phase as is evidenced in Greenland ice-cores. These Grand Solar Minimums occur regularly on approximately 400yrs cycles with the last GSM peaking between 1630 and 1730. Global warming alarmists will claim that if it gets cold or if it gets hot it is all due to man creating CO2. Their entire man-made climate change scare stories are in tatters as they struggle to defy what proper and reputable scientists have been saying for the last 400yrs. People have been fooled and misled by disreputable politicians who are lining their pockets with climate scare stories which they use to tax the people when they use energy to keep their homes warm or use for transport. The moral of this statement is "do not believe the politicians when they accuse you of causing climate change. It's utter rubbish." Nature will win the day and see off these lying politicians.
You are typical of the uneducated anthropogenic climate change pseudo-experts. You cannot name even one single piece of scientific proof of anthropogenic global warming and even the IPCC now admits that the sun is the principle climate controller on earth.
Yeah. Don't you remember the artic will be ice free by 2013. And six years ago we'll be under water from rising oceans. How about the 50 million refugees from 2010,because of global warming. We've been making wrong predictions for over 30 years. Don't worry, people will always follow false prophets.
We don't get snow in the city or suburbs of Australia, especially Melbourne where I live, we have to drive up into the mountains to see snow, I have only seen snow about 3 times in my life, once when I was 5 and the next time when I was 30, so seeing something like this, would freak me out if it happen here in Australia.

10. “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
Meaning of the Poem.
This poem deals with that big noble question of “How to make a difference in the world?” On first reading, it tells us that the choice one makes really does matter, ending: “I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference.”
